Late Thursday afternoon DPS stopped a stolen vehicle on FM 1485 near Baptist Encampment. As they detained two passengers, the driver fled on foot. For the past several hours Houston Police, Roman Forest, DPS, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County Precinct 4 and Splendora Police have been searching the woods north of FM 1485 between Tavola, Country Estates, and Peach Creek. If spotted please call the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
