Around 5pm perimeter alarms around a 2000 foot radio tower site near Splendora began to sound. Cameras on the property went into action and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s was notified. Units arrived on the scene quickly as two males fled from a secured fenced area into the woods. A perimeter was set and deputies with Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, Splendora Police and Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constables Office. Officers worked through the dense woods toward Tram Road in search of the suspects. Just before dark the search was called off for the white males. Deputies are now downloading video and images from several cameras on the tower site and in the woods. Most show good images of the suspects. We will update when they are available.
