Montgomery County Public Health District is reaching out to patients who have received ineffective vaccines at the Montgomery County Public Health Clinic located at 1300 South Loop 336 West, Conroe, TX 77304 from
March 1, 2015 to October 20, 2015. These potentially ineffective doses will not cause harm but cannot be guaranteed to protect from disease as intended. Receiving an extra dose of the vaccine, even multiple vaccines, will not cause harm.
Some of the vaccines were stored at an improper temperature as long ago as April 2015, which may have reduced the effectiveness according to vaccine manufacturers. Vaccine manufacturers specify a temperature range for storing each specific vaccine to ensure that it works as intended.
The Public Health District has identified each patient that received a vaccination from this supply and has contacted each patient in order to be re-vaccinated. Although we have re-vaccinated many of the patients, we are still reaching out to patients who have not been re-vaccinated by our clinic.
Immunization is one of the best ways to protect infants, children, teens and adults from potentially harmful diseases that can cause serious illness, hospitalization, and even death.
If you or a family member was vaccinated at the Public Health Clinic located at 1300 South Loop 336 West between the dates of March 1, 2015 and October 20, 2015 please contact the Public Health District at
(936) 523-5020, Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
