Ever since the Facebook worldwide crash 3-weeks ago we have been getting messages of alerts going out and no story to show. It seems Facebook is having major issues. One way around it is go directly to Montgomery County Police Reporter website Montgomery County Police Reporterand sign up for alerts from the system. It can go to your phone or email. Currently, there are just over 37,000 readers that do it this way. Looking at Facebook many are complaining. Also Google Facebook Delay on Alerts.
Notifications coming very late

Hi, for the past couple of months my notifications have been coming 3-4 hours late! I might if I’m lucky see them naturally in my news feed if I’m actively on there, but then I get the notification 3-4 hours later. This is unacceptable as often time I rely on group updates for very important information and if it comes this late there are consequences. I can’t be actively looking for updates all the time, that’s why there are notifications. Something is not right especially when the red number comes up on the notification as new and it says new 3 hours ago.

– Log out of Facebook by clicking the arrow on the top right corner and click “Logout”;
– Clear cookies and cache, if you’re using a computer;
– Make sure you’re using the most updated version of the app or browser;

– Uninstall and reinstall the app, if you’re using a phone;
– Log into Facebook and try again.
Also, make sure that you’re connected to a safe Wi-Fi network and that the connection is stable. If it isn’t, try again when you have a better connection.
