ay, November 28th, 2015 Officer Erica Fleming was dispatched to the Super 8 Hotel (427 W. Southline) in reference to a disturbance.
Upon arrival Officer Fleming found that Mia Baratta (age 27) was not a paying customer at the Hotel. It was advised that Baratta walked into the hotel and began eating food from the breakfast area. The owner of the business requested Baratta leave the premises and a criminal trespass warning be issued for Baratta.
Officer Fleming made contact with Baratta and questioned her about her actions. Baratta advised she was meeting with friends, but her story was not consistent.
A further investigation by Officer Fleming lead to the discovery of Baratta being in possession of Marihuana, one-hundred anabolic Steroid capsules and Liquid Testosterone. Baratta was also found to be in possession of a stolen bank debit card.
Mia Baratta was charged with Possession of a Marihuana (Class ‘’B” Misdemeanor), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class “A” Misdemeanor) and Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information (State Jail Felony).
