MCHD PARAMEDIC RECOGNIZED FOR 30-YEARS OF SERVICE

We are so thankful to the members of MCHD who chose to spend their careers. Scott Pelczar was recognized for dedicating 30 years to MCHD and EMS. At the last board meeting,   Scott was presented with a ring to memorialize his 30 years of service to Montgomery County. Scott began his career in Emergency Medical Services as a volunteer with the Porter Fire Department when he was just 16 years old. Two years later, in 1989, he began with MCHD in a volunteer program – learning the ropes alongside MCHD legends such as Jack Maddox, Karen Kimmey, and the late Bill Parsons before being hired full-time in 1993. Throughout his career, Scott has served as an Attendant Paramedic, In-Charge Paramedic, Field Training Officer, and in MCHD’s 911 Dispatch Center (ALARM). Scott has also been involved in MCHD committees focused on employee wellness, safety, deployment, and product review.
