MCOEM Vegetation Debris Removal Update 08.09.24

From the Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management:

Our office continues to coordinate vegetative debris pickup throughout Montgomery County. Over the past 25 days we have picked up over 693,123 Cubic Yards of debris, equivalent to just over 29 football fields stacked 10 feet high.

Starting Monday August 12th the following zones will be added to the pick up list.

The following zones already have active debris pickup:

Completed 1st Pass: Any debris remaining will be collected on 2nd pass. Stay tuned for 2nd pass registration

Please note:
* Cul-de-sacs and dead end street will be completed last within the neighborhoods. They will not be skipped!
* Second passes will be announced in the future after all zones have had their first passes completed.
* We CANNOT accept debris that is in any plastic bags. Additionally, we CAN NOT accept any construction debris or household debris. Strictly vegetation only!
