District 4 – Lt. Allison Amundson (West County)

On April 5th, Deputy Mittag observed a 51 year old female he recognized as having a Felony Warrant out of our county. The female was traveling north bound on Hickory Ridge on a blue bicycle. The Deputy activated his Emergency Equipment to stop her, at which time she sped up, got off her bike, and ran into the woods. The Deputy followed her on foot and apprehended her. The female was taken into custody for felony evading w/prior conviction and the felony warrant for violation of probation.

On April 5th, Deputy Provenzano observed a white truck fail to maintain a single marked lane on Misty Meadow Drive and conducted a traffic stop. The Deputy made contact with the 37 year old male who was driving. The male advised he did not have a driver’s license, but grabbed a passport out of his console from a bag. Inside the bag was a small plastic baggie. It was discovered that the small bag contained marijuana. The Deputy placed the driver into custody for possession of marijuana.

On April 3rd, Deputy Davis was dispatched to Highway 249 and Rollingwood, in reference to a vehicle driving recklessly in the area. The Deputy observed the vehicle driving north bound on 249 blocking both lanes as it tried to turn into a restaurant parking lot. The Deputy made contact with the 26 year old male who was driving. After an investigation, the male was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.

On April 1st, Deputy Wilson was dispatched to the Grand Estate Apartments on FM 2978, in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, the Deputy made contact with the property manager who advised she had observed a 20 year old male leaving the Leasing Office with a MAC desktop computer in a trash bag that belonged to their office. The manager and assistant manager located the male and confronted him. The male threw the computer off the second floor balcony, breaking it, and then sat and waited for law enforcement to arrive. The Deputy placed the suspect into custody for theft.

On March 31st, Deputy Jones was dispatched to an attempt to locate on a vehicle that was reportedly swerving all over the road and had almost hit a person riding a bike. A reportee following the vehicle, called, and gave a location of Misty Meadow Drive. The Deputy was able to locate the vehicle and make contact with 20 year old male who was driving. After an investigation, the driver was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.
