MCSO Busts Dallas ATM Burglary Suspects

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) successfully apprehended two individuals following a felony ATM burglary and theft that occurred early Friday morning in the Dallas area. The arrests were the result of coordinated efforts among the MCSO Crime Reduction Unit (CRU), the Dallas Police Department (DPD) Crime Reduction Unit, and the Huntsville Police Department.

On November 14, 2025, the DPD CRU contacted MCSO regarding an ATM theft in their jurisdiction. Intelligence gathered indicated the suspect vehicle was traveling southbound on I-45 toward Houston.

Working together, the MCSO CRU and Huntsville Police located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop, leading to the detention of both occupants.

The suspects were identified as 33-year-old David Hill and 38-year-old Jerry Gray. Both were arrested on felony charges to be filed in Walker County. Roadside interviews and evidence recovered at the scene provided Dallas PD with information needed to pursue additional felony charges related to the ATM burglary.

Gray is known to the MCSO CRU for prior involvement in alleged “bank jugging” cases. Both individuals have extensive criminal histories, including charges for money laundering, aggravated robbery, and multiple theft offenses.

Deputies recovered $14,466 from the suspects and their vehicle at the time of the arrest.

Montgomery County Sheriff Wesley Doolittle emphasized that the successful operation highlights the importance of strong partnerships among municipal, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. By sharing intelligence and resources, MCSO and its partners continue to ensure a coordinated response to criminals who operate across jurisdictional boundaries—enhancing public safety throughout Montgomery County and beyond.
