District 1 – Lt. Darrel Conn (North County)

On 03/24/09 Deputy Lawless was dispatched to the 14,000 block of Broken Arrow, in Willis, in reference to shots fired in the area. The investigation revealed that a twenty-one year old male was found to be in Possession of Marijuana. He was arrested and during transport, the male reportedly made retaliatory statements by which he said he was going to kill someone when he got out of jail. He was charged with two felony counts and one misdemeanor upon booking.

On 03/25/09 Deputy Salazar was dispatched to the 20,000 block of Red Oak Drive, in Conroe, in reference to a Kidnapping. On arrival, the reporting twenty-six year old female advised that she and her twenty-eight year old male friend had been involved in an argument. He had agreed to take her to her mother’s home then reportedly became irate and assaulted her by pulling her by the hair into the vehicle. He then proceeded to drive at a high rate of speed, not allowing her to exit the vehicle. The male reportedly assaulted her again by striking her with his hands while driving. The male reportedly drove several miles until the female was able to exit the vehicle and run to a house to call for assistance. The male stayed on location and told a completely different story to the Deputy. The male was arrested.

On 03/27/09 at 6:00 PM, Deputy Bourne was dispatched to Summit Drive, in Conroe, in reference to a Family Disturbance. Information received indicated that the male was in the vehicle and the female was outside the vehicle. The male then intentionally attempted to run over the female with the vehicle, knocking her to the ground. The male then reportedly exited the vehicle and began to physically assault the female by grabbing her by the hair and striking her head against a wooden post of the carport. The female was able to get away and other family members came to her aid. The male was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

District 2 – Lt. Andrew Eason (South County/Woodlands)

From March 14 – 22, Deputies arrested 10 suspects for Driving While Intoxicated.

3/14 – Sgt. Herring arrested BM 19 on Panther Creek following a motor vehicle accident where the vehicle struck two trees and ended up in a ditch. The suspect had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath that became stronger as he spoke. He had bloodshot, glassy eyes, his speech was slurred, and he was unsteady on his feet. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

3/17 – Dep. Ortiz arrested WM 20 on Grogan’s Mill after observing the suspect weaving back and forth in the roadway from shoulder to shoulder, almost striking another vehicle and then stopping in the center of an intersection. The suspect emitted a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage that became stronger as he spoke. The suspect was then taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

3/18 – Dep. Ortiz arrested WM 49 for Driving While Intoxicated. Dep. Ortiz was dispatched to a welfare check, where a witness was following a driver who was swerving erratically, unable to maintain a single lane, and hit a curb while turning into a bank parking lot on Kuykendahl. Dep. Ortiz approached the vehicle and noticed the driver to have an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. The suspect was then taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

3/20 – Sgt. Brice Herring arrested WM 53 for Driving while Intoxicated on Budde Road. Sgt. Herring observed the driver make a left hand turn from the wrong lane after sitting at a green light. During the Field Sobriety Tests, the driver was too intoxicated to follow instructions. Sgt. Herring also found tabs of Lortab (Hydrocodone) in the driver’s possession. The driver was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance and DWI. The suspect was then transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

3/20 – Sgt. Herring arrested a WM46 on Woodlands Parkway after observing the driver driving below the speed limit and then accelerating well above the posted speed limit. After initiating a traffic stop, it took approximately a mile before the driver pulled over. The driver had slurred speech and had a hard time maintaining his balance. The suspect was then taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

3/21 – Sgt. Herring arrested WM31 on Sawdust Road for Driving While Intoxicated. Sgt. Herring was contacted by witnesses of a person at a local fast food restaurant that had almost struck them head on. Sgt. Herring made contact with the driver and took him to the location where the District Attorney’s Office was conducting a “non-refusal night.” During the Field Sobriety Tests, the driver was too intoxicated to follow the instructions and perform the tests correctly. He was then taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

3/21 – Dep. Houstoun arrested WM48 after he pulled him over for Speeding on Grogan’s Mill. Dep. Houstoun noticed the driver trying to conceal something as he approached the vehicle. The driver stated he had been drinking. During the Field Sobriety Tests, the driver was too intoxicated to follow the instructions and perform the tests correctly. A check of the vehicle, found an empty cup containing the remains of an alcoholic drink. The suspect was then taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

3/22 – Dep. Weatherford conducted a traffic stop on a WM22 who had approached his marked patrol unit from behind at a high rate of speed, followed at an unsafe distance, and passed Dep. Weatherford, almost hitting the marked patrol vehicle. The driver had slurred speech and had a hard time maintaining his balance. The suspect was then taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
From 3/19-26, Deputies arrested 5 suspects for Possession Controlled Substance or Marijuana.

3/19 – Sgt. Jenkins conducted a traffic stop and during the course of his investigation found, a gray zipper bag containing 3 pills, later identified as Vicodin. The driver, WM 18, did not have a prescription for the pills. The suspect was then taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

3/23 – Dep. Carson was conducting routine patrol, and when checking a local park, observed a vehicle in the parking lot. The park had closed at dusk, and this check of the park was close to midnight. The vehicle was occupied one time by a WM 20. When the driver stepped out of the vehicle, Dep. Carson observed a baggy with a green leafy substance identified as marijuana. Two more bags of marijuana were found and the driver was also found to have an active warrant. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

3/26 – Dep. Ward and Dep. Veith arrested 2 WM 19 and 1 WM 20 on Research Forest for Possession of Marijuana. The deputies had been dispatched to the location in reference to a possible Narcotics Offense involving two vehicles. Deputies made contact with the suspects and during the course of their investigation 3 baggies containing a green leafy substance, identified as marijuana were located. The suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

District 3 – Lt. Jim Fleming (East County)

On March 23, Deputy L. Ray was notified in reference to a disturbance call at a bar located in the area of Loop 494 and Ford Road. The Deputy located an intoxicated male that was involved in the disturbance. The 30 year old male from New Caney was arrested at 1:50am and transported to jail.

On March 23, Deputy C. Azwell observed a vehicle displaying an altered vehicle inspection sticker in the 16100 block of FM 1485. The 34 year old female driver from New Caney was arrested at 11:06am and transported to jail.

On March 24, Deputy C. Turrentine was in the 20800 block of FM 1485 in search of a vehicle that was being driven by a possible intoxicated driver. The Deputy located the vehicle parked in a grocery store parking lot. The Deputy spoke with a 15 year old male that was a passenger in the vehicle and was advised the driver had gone into the store. The male subject came out of the store and the Deputy confronted him. The male threw something (later found to be five steaks) under a vehicle and attempted to flee. The Deputy detained the male and contacted the store assistant director who looked at the security camera footage and observed the male had stolen the steaks valued at $71.83. The male also had two (2) warrants out of Montgomery County JP 4. The 42 year old male was arrested at 3:38pm and transported to jail.

On March 24-25, Deputy J. Guion was traveling in the 19600 block of FM 1485 when a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction was observed to be over the line and headed toward the Deputy’s vehicle. The Deputy took evasive action and attempted to stop the vehicle which had pulled into an apartment complex. A male and female occupant had exited the vehicle and ran. Both subjects were captured and found to be intoxicated. The Deputy had been unable to observe who was driving the vehicle and neither subject would say who the driver was. The 22 year old male from Conroe and the 20 year old female from Porter were arrested at 12:03am and transported to jail.

On March 25, Deputy C. Turrentine was dispatched to the 21700 block of FM 1485 in reference to a family violence assault call. The Deputy met with three witnesses and a female complainant who advised her boyfriend had become angry and hit her on the head several times. The 42 year old male from Cleveland was arrested at 5:57pm and transported to jail.

On March 25, Deputy C. Murray was notified of a disturbance call in the 23500 block of Hwy 59. The Deputy located a male involved in a fight in the parking lot. The male was observed to be intoxicated. The 23 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 11:50pm. Two other males on location, 27 and 22 years old, from Splendora, were also arrested by Deputy J. Walker for public intoxication. All three males were taken to jail.

On March 26, Deputy S. Ortiz was sent to a welfare concern call involving a vehicle in a ditch in the 18400 block of Hwy 59. The Deputy located the female driver of the vehicle which was partially submerged in water. The female was found to be intoxicated. The 20 year old female from Splendora was arrested at 6:07pm, charged with DWI with child passenger, and transported to jail.

On March 27, Deputy C. Murray was dispatched to the 23600 block of Hwy 59 for a welfare concern involving a male passed out in a vehicle. The Deputy located the vehicle and found the driver to be intoxicated. The 27 year old male from Splendora was arrested at 2:50am and transported to jail.

On March 27, Deputies G. Harman and J. Chapa were dispatched to the 23400 block of Amberwood Drive for a criminal mischief call and a vehicle stuck in a ditch. The vehicle had been seen running over three mail boxes, a basketball goal and a street sign. Deputy Harman arrived and the driver refused to get out of the vehicle while cursing at the Deputy. The male said he had taken a drug and was in a space ship and had no hands. After Deputy Chapa’s arrival the male was sprayed with a chemical agent and still refused to get out. Deputy Harman broke a passenger side window to gain entry. The male, who was resisting and cursing, was forced out of the vehicle with the use of an intermediate weapon. The male kicked both Deputies. The 20 year old male from Conroe, was arrested at 3:32pm, charged with assault on a public servant (2 counts) and criminal mischief, and transported to jail.

On March 27, Deputy S. Ortiz stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the 200 block of North Park. The Deputy observed the female driver was intoxicated. The 34 year old female from Porter was arrested at 9:16pm, charged with DWI 2nd, and taken to jail.

On March 28, Deputy S. Ortiz was dispatched to the 24600 block of FM 1314 for a motor vehicle accident. A female driver had driven her vehicle into another vehicle. The female driver was found to be intoxicated. The 49 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 3:29pm, charged with DWI 2nd and also possession of a prohibited substance, and transported to jail.

On March 29, Deputy G. Harman was sent to the 23500 block of Hwy 59 for a theft call. The Deputy met with the loss prevention officer who was detaining a male for shop lifting. The male had taken items totaling $275.04 and proceeded past all points of sale failing to pay for the items. The 37 year old male from Kingwood was arrested at 9:17pm and taken to jail.

On March 29, Deputy C. Azwell observed a vehicle parked in a closed gas station parking lot in the 20100 block of FM 1314. A male, found sitting in the vehicle, was intoxicated. The 19 year old male from Kingwood was arrested at 7:03am and transported to jail.

On March 29, Deputy S. Ortiz was notified of a family violence assault in the 27500 block of North Gate Lane. The Deputy met with a female complainant who was being treated for injuries by EMS personnel. The female had come to the residence to get some belongings as she and her husband were getting divorced. Her mother-in-law and sister-in-law arrived and started arguing with the complainant. The mother-in-law grabbed the complainant by the hair and threw her down and began scratching her face and punching her. The sister-in-law grabbed a large flashlight and struck the complainant across the forehead which caused her to lose consciousness. They began kicking her and she covered her abdominal area since she was pregnant. She finally managed to get away and call 9-1-1. The two females, 29 and 49 years of age, from Cleveland and Splendora, respectively, were arrested at 6:31pm and transported to jail.

On March 29, Deputy C. Evans was dispatched to the 19600 block of Ceal Road in reference to an assault. The Deputy met with a male complainant who advised his next door neighbor had come over and was banging on the door and told the complainant to give him a bottle of whiskey. The complainant refused and as the complainant was walking the male suspect off his property the male suspect struck the complainant on the nose. The 38 year old male from Porter was arrested at 10:33pm and taken to jail.

Warrants served:

A 23 year old male from Splendora was arrested at 5:16pm, March 24, in the 23600 block of FM 1485 by Deputy J. Chapa for eight (8) warrants out of Montgomery County JP 4. The Deputy was investigating a disturbance call. The male was taken to jail.

A 47 year old male from Cleveland was arrested at 10:00am, March 26, by Deputy R. Meredith. The Deputy received the male from Cleveland PD. The male had a criminal trespass warrant on him out of Montgomery County. He was taken to jail.

A 28 year old male from New Caney was arrested at 12:25pm, March 27, in the area of Cunningham Drive and Clennie Needham by Deputy J. Chapa for a motion to revoke driving with license suspended warrant out of Montgomery County. The male was stopped on a traffic violation. He was taken to jail.

A 25 year old male from Splendora was arrested at 1:18pm, March 28, in the 12300 block of Lake Park Drive by Deputies H. Trammel and R. Layman for a possession of marijuana warrant out of Sutton County. A 46 year old female from Splendora was also arrested for a motion to revoke probation warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputies were investigating a disturbance call. Both subjects were transported to jail.

District 4 – Lt. Art Galloway (West County)

On 3/29/09 Deputy Gonzalez was dispatched to a burglary of a vehicle in Thousand Oaks Subdivision. The complainant stated he had locked his vehicle and sometime between 9 PM and 5:30 AM someone made forced entry in the vehicle and found that some items had been taken from his locked vehicle. The total value of the missing items stated at approximately $400.The case was referred to CID- Detectives.

On 3/26/09 Deputy Crandell was dispatched to Clear Creek Forest in reference to credit card abuse. When he arrived on scene he met with the complainant who advised that sometime around 3-26-09 someone had stolen this credit card information and was using it to make purchases valued at $419. Complainant did provide officer with a suspect. This case referred to CID-Detectives.

On 3/30/09 Deputy B. Crandell was dispatched to Thousand Oaks in reference to the burglary of a motor vehicle. Upon his arrival he made contact with the complainant who stated someone had broken into his truck. Estimated cost of items taken is $1300. This case referred to CID-Detectives.

On 3/38/09 Deputy T. Slusher was dispatched to a burglary of a building at Will Scarlet When Deputy Slusher arrived on scene he found entry was made through an unlocked front door. Tools and sporting equipment had been removed from the property valued at $1875. The case was referred to CID-Detectives.

On 3/28/09 Deputy J. Herman was dispatched to Butera in reference to felony theft. Upon his arrival he made contact with the complainant who advised he had several items taken from his carport. Loss estimated at $3,450. This case referred to CID-Detectives.

On 3/29/09 Corporal F. Webb was dispatched to Cripple Creek North for a Fraudulent Use. The deputy met with the complainant who stated he found that someone had used his information in order to print checks. The complainant stated that he knows about 4 checks totaling $3,584 at this time. This case referred to CID-Detectives.

On 3/25/09 Deputy T. Slusher was dispatched to an abandoned vehicle in Glenmont Estates Subdivision Someone made stripped the vehicle and left it on the side of the roadway. After checking the vehicle and running the vehicle identification # through TCIC/NCIC it was discovered that the vehicle was taken from Duncansville PA. The case was referred to ATTF- Auto Theft

On 3/25/09 Deputy H. Suarez was dispatched to Decker Hills in reference to theft. He met with the complainant who advised that an unknown male backed up in his driveway, and removed tools from the yard. Items valued at 1500. This case referred to CID-Detectives.

On 3/25/09 Deputy P. Carpenter and Corporal F. Webb was dispatched to Spring Creek Growers in reference to burglary of a building and theft. Officers arrived and found that someone had removed items from one of the greenhouses and had taken items from the property. Some of the items were recovered. Total dollar loss estimate at $168. This case referred to CID-Detectives.

On 3/27/09 Deputy G. Kerr was dispatched to Shady Oaks in reference to criminal mischief. Upon his arrival he made contact with the complainant who stated someone had damaged the interior of a vacant mobile home. Estimated cost of damages is $5000. This case referred to CID-Detectives.

District 5 – Lt. Don Lacy (Northwest County)

March 21, 2009 at 5:40 PM deputies responded to the 25000 block of Tisdel Rd. in regards to an assault. Deputies learned that the male complainant in his late 20’s was attacked and beaten as he walked along the road. The complainant was transported by EMS to a hospital where he was treated for his injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

March 23, 2009 at 8:00 PM, deputies responded to a residence on Walding Rd in regards to a disturbance between a male and female. The investigation revealed that both subjects had been in an argument and assaulted one another. Both subjects were issued citations for Class C Assault and referred to JP Court for final disposition.

March 24, 2009 at a short time past midnight, deputies responded to the 15400 block of SH 105 West in regards to an assault between a male and female. Deputies learned that both subjects were traveling in a car along SH 105 when the male subject physically assaulted the female. They then pulled into a nearby convenience store where the female called 911. The male subject was issued a citation for Class C Assault and referred to JP Court for final disposition.

March 25, 2009 at 1:30 AM deputies responded to the 100 block of Dawns Edge in regards to disturbance in progress between two male subjects. It was determined that both subjects had been involved in a physical altercation and assaulted each other. Both subjects were issued citations for Class C Assault and referred to JP Court for final disposition.

March 27, 2009 at 2:40 AM, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 900 block of Old Hwy 105 West. Upon contacting the male driver, deputies suspicion that the driver may be impaired and driving under the influence of alcohol. The driver was then administered several field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the investigation, the driver was arrested and placed into the Montgomery County Jail for Driving While Intoxicated on an undetermined bond amount.

District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Town Center)
From March 22 – March 30, deputies arrested 7 suspects for Shoplifting/Theft:

3/22 – Dep. Houstoun arrested a suspect, WF 17, at 1201 Lake Woodlands. The merchandise recovered was valued at $152.00. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

3/22 – Dep. Weatherford arrested a suspect, WF 48, at 3040 College Park Dr. The merchandise recovered was valued at $53.46. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

3/22 – Dep. Godden arrested a two suspects, BF 16 and BM 16, at 1201 Lake Woodlands. The merchandise recovered was valued at $108.00. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

3/23 – Dep. Houstoun arrested a suspect, WF 43, at 1201 Lake Woodlands. The merchandise recovered was valued at $93.00. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

3/24 – Dep. Weatherford arrested a suspect, WF 17, at 1201 Lake Woodlands. The merchandise recovered was valued at $74.50. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

3/30 – Dep. Rizk arrested a suspect, WF 41, at 3040 College Park Dr. The merchandise recovered was valued at $506.85. A search of the suspect, incident to her arrest, found a prescription bottle for Hydrocodone containing two different size pills. The pills were identified as Vicodin and Tramadol. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

3/24 – Dep. Johnson was dispatched to a suspicious person/vehicle call on College Park Drive. Upon arrival, Dep. Johnson made contact with the suspect WM 18 and a passenger WM. During the course of the investigation, an open container of beer was found and a plastic baggy with a green leafy substance identified as marijuana. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
