District 1 – Lt. Darrel Conn (North County)

On 12/01/08 Deputy Bourne was dispatched to the 10,000 block of Valley Drive South, in Willis, in reference to a Burglary of a Habitation. On arrival, two (2) individuals were located inside the residence. A female had forced open a rear window to gain entry into the residence. After making entry, she went to the front door to let the male suspect into the residence. Their plan failed when the owner of the property and Sheriff Deputies arrived and found them in the residence. An 18 year old female and a 21 year old male were arrested; charge with Burglary of a Habitation.

On 12/05/08 Sergeant Rogers assisted Willis Police Officers with a Warrant Service at the 100 block of Cross Street, in Willis. The suspect exited the rear of the residence, fleeing across the yard to a fence. He struck the fence in a full run. During all this time, Deputies were ordering him to stop. The suspect was eventually detained with the deployment of a TASER. He was taken into custody without further resistance.

On 12/05/08 Deputy Degner responded to the 13,000 block of Rocky Road, in reference to a harassment situation. The sixty-seven year old complainant had been receiving several unsolicited telephone calls from another family member. The suspect caller was warned several times to stop calling, but continued to make annoying calls. The suspect was located, arrested and charged with Telephone Harassment – Class B Misdemeanor. Her bond was set at $500.

District 2 – Lt. Andrew Eason (South County/Woodlands)

On December 1, 2008 at approximately 1230 hours, Dep. Corn was dispatched to a business at32858 FM 2978 in reference to an employee being detained for theft. Upon arrival he met with the Asset Protection Team Leader (APTL). The APTL stated that on this date, he was notified by their investigations division that false returns were being made on a cashier’s register and the funds were being credited to a gift card the cashier (WF38) would then keep. Refunds made on this date totaled $174.50. Transactions for the cashier over a period of time however totaled $1008.34. Dep. Corn contacted the District Attorney’s Office who accepted charges on the theft. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On December 6, 2008 at approximately 1500 hours, Dep. Norum while working an approved extra job at 1201 Lake Woodlands was contacted by security in reference to a shoplifter in custody in one of the stores. Upon arrival he met with the Store Manager. The manager stated that on this date, they observed the subjects (WM 18 and WM 16) in the store looking at merchandise. After they left the store, the manager noticed an empty space in the display case where they had been looking at sunglasses. A review of the store video tape showed one suspect hand a pair of glasses to the other, who concealed them in his coat. Both suspects then left the store without paying for the concealed item. The store manager located the suspects and returned them to the store and contacted security. The value of the sunglasses was $145. The suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On December 9, 2008 at approximately 0724 hours, Dep. Cantu was dispatched to a report of a Bomb Threat being called into the St. Luke’s Hospital. Dep. Cantu met with the Security Director who stated that at approximately 0705 a call came into the switchboard stating there was a bomb in the building. The originating telephone number and the caller’s voice were captured at the hospital. The information led officers to a location in the IH45/FM1960 area. Deputies were able to view surveillance system at the location to identify the suspect. A short time later the suspect returned to the location and was brought back to Montgomery County where he was confronted with the hospital recording and video evidence. The subject (WM35) was taken into custody for False Alarm or Report (State Jail Felony) and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident and is awaiting bail.

District 3 – Lt. Jim Fleming (East County

On December 1, Deputy C. Evans was sent to a motor vehicle accident in the 23000 block of FM 1485. The Deputy met with three males on location and was advised by the driver of the vehicle that he had lost control in loose gravel and over corrected and flipped the vehicle over on its top. The male driver had been drinking and taking xanax and soma. The 19 year old male from Porter was arrested at 4:49am for DWI and taken to jail.

On December 2, Deputy G. Harman was dispatched to a disturbance in progress call involving drivers involved in a motor vehicle accident. While in route to the scene the Deputy observed a vehicle involved in the call traveling northbound on Loop 494. The Deputy stopped the vehicle and identified the female driver. The driver was found to be intoxicated. The 53 year old female from Porter was arrested at 2:28pm, charged with DWI and failure to stop and give information. A 50 year old female passenger, also from Porter, was arrested for public intoxication. Both were transported to jail.

On December 2, Deputy J. Guion was notified of a violation of a protective order in the 12300 block of Anmar Drive. The Deputy met with the complainant who stated he had just gotten out of court that day and the male suspect was in violation of the protective order by being next door. The 45 year old male from Cleveland was arrested at 7:30pm and transported to jail.
On December 2, Deputy J. Chapa was sent to the area of Hwy 59 and FM 1485 for a vehicle in a ditch. The Deputy located a male in the area and identified him. The male started walking off from the Deputy and was detained for public intoxication. The male was also found to have three active warrants out of JP 4 Montgomery County, one for failure to show rabies vaccination, one for violate promise to appear and one for failure to appear. The 24 year old male was arrested at 8:30pm and transported to jail.
On December 2, Deputy C. Evans was dispatched to the 24000 block of Loop 494 in reference to suspicious persons. The Deputy was advised by a witness that the two females had gone into the restroom at the bar and caused damage to the breaker box causing the lights to go out for several minutes. After speaking to the females the Deputy observed them to be intoxicated.
One of the females, a 21 year old from Spring, was arrested at 11:37pm, and charged with public intoxication and criminal mischief. The other female, a 21 year old from Lewisville, was also arrested and charged with public intoxication. Both were transported to jail.

On December 3, Deputy C. Turrentine was notified of a disturbance call in the 22800 block of Gasoline Alley. The Deputy arrived and met with a male complainant who stated he had received a phone call from the male suspect in reference to getting his vehicle out of storage. The male suspect was upset, paid his storage fees and went and got on a fork lift and stated he was going to get his own truck. The complainant told him to get off and the suspect hit the complainant on the face. They both went to the ground and the complainant was head butted by the suspect. The male was detained by a DPS trooper who had arrived. The Deputy met with the suspect’s mother and was given permission to search her vehicle. Marijuana was located in the vehicle. The 47 year old female from Jacksonville was arrested at 6:13pm and charged with possession of marijuana. The 24 year old male, also from Jacksonville, was arrested and charged with assault and possession of marijuana. Both were transported to jail.

On December 4, Deputy R. Ashmore was sent to the 18000 block of Deer Glen West in reference to a family violence assault call. The Deputy met with a female complainant who advised she and her husband had gotten into a verbal altercation. The female broke several windows in their house. The male responded by breaking a window in her truck. The male chased her and struck her with a flashlight on the side of the head. The 39 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 12:15am and taken to jail.

On December 4, Corporal S. Spiller responded to the 18400 block of Wisp Willow Way in reference to a family violence call in progress. The Deputy met with a female complainant who advised she and her boyfriend got into an argument that became physical and she was struck several times on the face by the male. The 40 year old male from Porter was arrested at 1:14am and taken to jail.

On December 4, Deputy C. Murray was notified of a robbery call in the 24000 block of Cherokee Trace Drive. The Deputy met with a male complainant who advised he heard his vehicle alarm go off a couple of different times and went to investigate. A male was seen trying to break into the complainant’s vehicle by the complainant. When the male was confronted by the complainant the suspect male pulled a pistol and pointed it at him. The complainant ran into his residence and the suspect male was seen leaving the scene. The complainant got a good look at the vehicle being driven. The Deputy later found the vehicle in the 23600 block of Hwy 59 at the What-a-burger restaurant. The Deputy, through investigation, located the male suspect. The 23 year old male from New Caney was arrested at 3:56am and transported to jail.

On December 5, Deputy J. Chapa was sent to the Porter Wal-Mart in reference to an intoxicated male on location. The male had been seen attempting to take a cell phone. The male was located and detained. The 34 year old male from Livingston was arrested at 2:30pm and transported to jail.

On December 5, Deputy K. Koonce was dispatched to the 12300 block of Lake Park Drive in reference to a violation of a protective order. The Deputy met with a male complainant who advised the male suspect who was arrested on December 2nd for violation of the protective order was back and in violation of it again. The Deputy located the male and detained him. The 45 year old male from Cleveland was arrested at 3:20pm and transported to jail.

On December 6, Deputy C. Evans stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 21000 block of Loop 494. The driver did not have valid license to operate a motor vehicle nor liability insurance. The driver appeared to be very nervous and was shaking uncontrollably. The Deputy gained consent to search the driver’s vehicle and located rock cocaine and methamphetamine. The 35 year old male from Youngsville, LA, was arrested at 3:22am and taken to jail.

On December 6, Deputy K. Koonce stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the area of Sorters Road and FM 1314. The male driver was found to be intoxicated. During the investigation the Deputy also found the driver to a have an outstanding DWI warrant out of Montgomery County on him. The 34 year old male from Houston was arrested at 7:42pm, charged with DWI and the DWI warrant, and transported to jail.

On December 7, Deputy C. Evans was notified of a family violence in progress in the 25900 block of Lakeshore Drive. It was the third time Deputies had been to the location on this date. On the Deputy’s arrival the male suspect came out of the house carrying a beer. The male was very belligerent to the Deputy. As the Deputy attempted to arrest the male a fight ensued with both ending up on the ground. The male was eventually detained. The male was belligerent to EMS personnel as he was loaded into the ambulance. The 44 year old male from Splendora was arrested at 12:20am and was later transported to jail.

On December 7, Deputy G. Harman was sent to the 16300 block of Fawn Ridge Lane in reference to a burglary in progress call. The Deputy met with a male complainant who advised an unknown female had come into his room inside his house yelling about finding her daughter. The female grabbed a large knife that was sitting on the male’s night stand and told him she would kill him if she didn’t find her daughter. The male got away and went to his sister’s house to call 9-1-1. The Deputy met with the female and she told him she had gone in the house because she had a dream that her daughter was in danger. The 39 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 5:58pm, charged with aggravated assault, and taken to jail.

Warrants served:

A 21 year old male from New Caney was arrested at 10:05am, December 1, at the District 3 sub-station by Deputy C. Azwell for seven traffic warrants out of JP 4 Montgomery County. The male surrendered to the Deputy. He was taken to jail.

A 26 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 12:17pm, December 1, in the 14700 block of Quinette Street by Deputy J. Amstutz for a burglary of a motor vehicle warrant and two fail to appear warrants, all out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was investigating a theft. The male was taken to jail.

A 28 year old male from Montgomery was arrested at 4:34pm, December 1, in the area of Cumberland Blvd and New Forest Drive by Deputy K. Koonce for a forgery warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was investigating a missing juvenile. The male was transported to jail.

A 21 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 1:45pm, December 3, at the District 3 sub-station by Corporal D. Miller for a probation violation warrant out of Navarro County. The Deputy was conducting a separate investigation. The male was taken to jail.

A 49 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 3:55pm, December 3, in the 16400 block of Kyle Reid Court by Deputy J. Chapa for a criminal mischief warrant out of Nueces County. The Deputy was investigating a disturbance. The female was taken to jail.

A 22 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 5:00pm, December 4, in the area of Old Houston Road and Village Way by Deputy J. Chapa for a fail to appear warrant out of Liberty County and seven traffic warrants out of JP 4 Montgomery County. The male was stopped on a traffic violation. The male was transported to jail.

A 39 year old male from Porter was arrested at 7:36pm, December 4, in the 22900 block of Yupon Street by Deputies J. Chapa and S. Ortiz for a possession of marijuana warrant out of Montgomery County. The male got involved after the Deputies had been in a pursuit. The male was taken to jail.

A 48 year old female from New Caney was arrested at 11:22pm, December 4, in the 21900 block of White Oak Drive by Deputy C. Murray for a theft of property warrant out of Upshur County. The Deputy was investigating a disturbance. The female was transported to jail.

A 20 year old male from Porter was arrested at 4:28pm, December 6, in the 19100 block of Groveway by Deputy C. Turrentine for five JP 4 Montgomery County traffic warrants. The Deputy had stopped the male on a traffic violation. The male was taken to jail.

District 4 – Lt. Art Galloway (West County)

On 12/2/08 Deputy K. Williams was dispatched to Country Oaks Blvd. for a burglary of a habitation report. Upon his arrival he met with the complainant who stated she had secured her residence upon leaving at 8:00 am and upon her return at noon she found that someone had entered the residence and removed property (a Kelec 32 caliber pistol ($300), a Hewlett Packard laptop computer ($1,500), and $25 in cash). This report referred to CID-Detectives.

On 12/3/08 Cpl. F. Webb was dispatched to Deer Path Ln. in reference to burglary of a building. When she arrived on location (a home under construction) she met with the complainant who stated he was missing 90 sheets of plywood, 50 sets of guides and 75 pair of hinges. Total cost of the items is $5,200. This report referred to CID-Detectives.

On 12/4/08 Deputy B. Crandell and Cpl. A. Sumrall were dispatched to Veterans Rd. in Magnolia in reference to a burglary of a habitation. When they arrived at the location Deputy Crandell met with the complainant who stated that five guns (valued at $2,400) had been stolen. The complainant also stated that she possibly left the front door unlocked when she went to the hospital (for surgery).This case referred to CID-Detectives.

On 12/5/08 Deputy A. Gonzalez was dispatched to South Pine Circle in reference to a report on criminal mischief. Upon his arrival Deputy Gonzalez met with the complainant to obtain information for the report. The complainant stated when she came to the house at approximately 10:30 am she noticed the glass to the exterior door had been broken out and the glass to the window in the rear of the house was also broken out. The total cost for the door repair and/or replacement is $500. This case referred to CID-Detectives.

On 12/6/08 Deputy A. Gonzalez was dispatched to Bridleway Circle in reference to criminal mischief. Upon his arrival at the location he made contact with the complainant who provided the pertinent information for the report. Deputy Gonzalez observed the exterior damage to the 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 (painted w/gold paint and paint damaged with a sharp object). Estimated cost to repair the vehicle is $1,500. This case referred to CID-Detectives.
On 12/7/08 Sgt. W. Hammons was dispatched to Doe Drive for a burglary of a vehicle report. When he arrived on location he met with the complainant who stated she accidentally left her purse in her 2007 Jeep Cherokee which she had left parked at her residence while she and her husband went out to eat. When they arrived home she discovered her purse (containing various items) had been stolen from the vehicle. Total dollar loss for purse, wallet, and miscellaneous items reported at $610. This case referred to CID-Detectives.

On 12/7/08 Deputy K. Williams was dispatched to FM 1488 (Magnolia Storage) in reference to criminal mischief. Upon his arrival Deputy Williams met with the complainant who stated he had parked and secured his 1998 Chevrolet 2500 truck in the parking lot (all buildings and parking lot are behind a six foot fence). Upon returning to his vehicle the next day he found that an unknown suspect had damaged his vehicle. The complainant estimated the damage at $250. This case referred to CID-Detectives.

District 5 – Lt. Don Lacy (Northwest County)

November 30, 2008 @ 7:30 PM Deputy J. Farmer responded to the 15800 block of Rabon Chapel in regards to a report of reckless damage. Investigation revealed where Suspect was pulling a disabled travel trailer down the road when it struck a custom made roadside mail box causing $1,000 worth of damage. The Suspect did not stop but was later identified by aide of a witness to the incident. Deputy Farmer later located the Suspect at which time a summons for Reckless Damage was issued.

December 3, 2008 @ 1:00 PM Deputy R. Garlock, Sgt. G.L. Welch, Cpl. Smith and Lt. D. Lacy responded to the 13600 block of Timber West in regards to an assault in progress. Upon arrival Deputy Garlock confronted the Suspect who was non compliant, evaded detention and forced a confrontation. After Taser deployment the Suspect gained compliance and was taken into custody. At the conclusion of the investigation, the Suspect was placed into the Montgomery County Jail for Assault $500 Bond and Evading Detention $10,000.

December 4, 2008 @ 3:00 PM Deputy B. Lennon responded to the 15300 block of Hickory Ridge Loop for the report of Burglary and Theft. Investigation revealed where Suspect entered Complainant’s residence, obtained the keys to a 2001 SUV vehicle parked in the driveway and stole the vehicle. The investigation is still ongoing.

December 4, 2008 @ 1:15 AM Deputy H. Lowe responded to a local Bar & Grill located in the 15200 block of SH 105 W. for a reported Theft of Service. Investigation revealed where Suspect, a patron, ran up a food and drink tab of $500 and intentionally left without paying. .

December 07, 2008 @ 8:30 AM Deputy J. Howze responded to the 13300 block of Southshore in regards to Burglary of a Vehicle. Investigation revealed where Suspect entered Complainant’s vehicle and stole several power tools valued at over $275. The investigation is ongoing.

District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Town Center)

On December 3, 2008 at approximately 1849 hours Dep. Varnell was dispatched to a business at 3040 College Park Dr. in reference to a shoplifter in custody. Upon arrival he met with the Asset Protection Coordinator (APC). The APC stated that on this date, they observed the subject (WF 17) enter the Electronics Department and select 2 music CDs. She then proceeded to the Women’s clothing department and concealed the items in her clothing. She then proceeded to the cosmetic section where she selected several items and concealed them in her purse. The suspect passed several points of purchase without attempting to pay for the concealed merchandise and exited the store where she was then stopped by Loss Prevention officers and escorted back into the store and processed for theft. The recovered merchandise was valued at $71.33. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without further incident.

On December 5, 2008 at approximately 2015 hours, Dep. Weatherford was dispatched to a business at 1201 Lake Woodlands in reference to a shoplifter in custody. Upon arrival he met with the Loss Prevention Officer (LPO). The LPO stated that on this date, they observed the subject (WF 17) enter the store, carrying a large brown purse, and begin selecting several bra accessories and then go to the jewelry department. Then she went to the lingerie department and selected several clothing items and items from the junior’s department. The suspect then entered the fitting rooms carrying all her selected items. When she exited a short time later, she was not carrying any of the items. A check of the fitting room found none of the merchandise she had carried in. The suspect passed several points of purchase without attempting to pay for the concealed merchandise and exited the store where she was then stopped by Loss Prevention officers and escorted back into the store and processed for theft. The recovered merchandise was valued at $60.94. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without further incident.

On December 5, 2008 at approximately 1800 hours, Dep. Godden was dispatched to 9595 Six Pines regarding a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival he made contact with Dep. Hook and Dep. Cano who already had a subject (WM34) in custody. The suspect was cursing and attempted to pull away as he was escorted to Dep. Godden’s vehicle. Once at the vehicle the suspect refused to sit in the vehicle and had to be placed into the back seat by officers. Dep. Godden then made contact with the restaurant manager who stated the suspect had a history of walking out without paying the bill. When asked that day to pay his bill ($54.50), the suspect said he didn’t have any money and attempted to leave. The store manager requested a Criminal Trespass Warning be issued so the suspect could not return. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail for Public Intoxication. While en route to the jail, the suspect laid down in the seat and was kicking the doors of the patrol vehicle. The suspect failed to comply with requests to stop and sit up. Due to his behavior a second unit was requested and the suspect was further restrained for transport to the Jail.

On December 8, 2008 at approximately 2335 hours, Dep. Hook was dispatched to a business at 3040 College Park Dr. in reference to shoplifters in custody. Upon arrival he met with the Asset Protection Coordinator (APC). The APC stated that on this date, they observed the subjects (BF 21 and BF 21) conceal items in two different purses. They also selected several smaller items which they did pay for, but failed to pay for the concealed merchandise. The suspects exited the store where they were then stopped by Loss Prevention officers and escorted back into the store and processed for theft. The recovered merchandise was valued at $65.10 and $82.82. The suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without further incident.
