Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office – Weekly Blotter

District 1 – Lt. Jim Fleming (North County)

On December 29, Deputies A. Cross and A. Booher were sent to the 12900 block of Cedar Lane for a welfare concern.  The Deputies met with a male that was highly intoxicated.  As the male was being interviewed he became belligerent toward the Deputies.  The 39 year old male from Willis was arrested at 7:31pm and transported to jail.

On December 31, Deputy S. Degner was working DWI-STEP and was called to meet a Willis PD officer who had stopped a possible drunken driver in the 800 block of W. Montgomery. Upon arrival the male was found to be intoxicated and refused any field sobriety testing.  The 36 year old male from Baytown was arrested at 11:05pm, charged with DWI and taken to jail.

On January 1, Sgt. C. Rogers was dispatched to the 150 block of Carmen Blvd for a disturbance call involving an intoxicated male who had been at a New Year’s Eve party. Several persons had tried to calm the male down but were unable to do so.  The 38 year old male from Centerville was arrested at 12:06am and transported to jail.

A 41 year old male from Willis was arrested at 6:00pm, January 2, in the 15000 block of FM 1484 by Deputy A. Booher for an assault causes bodily injury warrant out of Montgomery County.  The Deputy detained the male after being waved down by a person in front of a country market.  The male was transported to jail.

On January 3, Deputy R. Salazar responded to the area of Hwy 105 E and FM 1485 in reference to a family violence assault call.  The Deputy met with a female complainant who advised she was in her vehicle and got into an argument with her ex-boyfriend.  The male punched the windshield and then grabbed her by the throat.  The male pushed her out of the vehicle and the female was able to escape into some nearby woods and hid until law enforcement arrived. The male left the area and was stopped a short time later.  The 27 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 12:25am, charged with assault and public intoxication and transported to jail.

On January 3, Deputy J. Kader was notified of a disturbance in progress in the 10500 block of Settlers Crossing.  The Deputy met with a female reportee who advised the male suspect began screaming at her because he was angry over a prior incident.  The male was kicking the door demanding to be let back in the house.  The male had fled the scene prior to the Deputy’s arrival. About an hour later the male came back and began beating on the doors and windows.  The Deputy on arrival could hear loud yelling and a pounding noise.  The 24 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 2:33am and transported to jail.

On January 3, Deputy W. Adams was sent to the 10900 block of FM 1484 in reference to a criminal trespass.  The Deputy met with the clerk who stated the male suspect had been given a criminal trespass warning the night before that stated he could not be in the store.  The 24 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 12:25pm and transported to jail.

On January 3, Deputy K. Albritton was dispatched to the 14200 block of Bert Brown Road in reference to a burglary in progress.  The Deputy on arrival met with the home owner and other witnesses who had prevented the suspect vehicle from fleeing.  There were two female suspects on scene and they were detained.  The vehicle had stolen property inside and burglar tools were also located that were used to pry the front door open. The two females, a 29 year old from Huntsville, and a 31 year old from Willis, were arrested at 8:39pm, charged with burglary of a habitation and transported to jail.

 

District 2 – (South County)

The following Driving While Intoxicated Arrest(s) were made:

12/22 – White Female 28 years old – Dep. Martin arrested the suspect after responding to an accident scene on Rayford Road.  The suspect had been speeding on Rayford when she lost control of her vehicle and hit a sign and concrete box before spinning out into the ditch.  The suspect had a strong odor of alcohol coming from her breath as she spoke.  She was taken into custody for DWI and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

12/31 – White Male 41 years old – Cpl. Barber while on patrol in the area of SH 242 and IH 45 observed a vehicle in the U-turn lane pull out on the southbound feeder road.  The vehicle appeared to be dragging something on the undercarriage as it had a large amount of sparks coming from the rear of the vehicle.  Cpl. Barber activated his emergency lights in an attempt to pull the vehicle over.  At this time the driver accelerated away from Cpl. Barber.  The rear of the vehicle continued to spark heavily and a strong odor of gasoline was coming from the vehicle.  Cpl. Barber then notice the vehicle was leaving a trail of gasoline that was being ignited by the sparks.  The vehicle finally pulled over in a car dealership, where the driver parked next to a brand new vehicle.  The driver was removed from the vehicle just before the entire vehicle was consumed by flames.  The fire spread to the new car as well.  The fire department was also contacted.  The driver was too intoxicated to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  He was taken into custody for Evading in a Motor Vehicle and Driving While Intoxicated (3rd or more) and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.  A search incident to the arrest found the suspect to have a small amount of Marijuana on his person.  He was also charged with Possession of Marijuana.

December 23, 2009 at approximately 2:30 am, Dep. Christensen was dispatched to a Suspicious Person call in the area of Spring Forest Drive and Old Ox Road.  While checking the area she observed one of the suspects, White Male 17 yrs old, walking on the side of the road.  At the same time, Dep. Swank, also checking the area, observed a vehicle pull out of a driveway at a high rate of speed.  Dep. Swank initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the two occupants, White Male 18 yrs old and White Male 23 yrs old.  During the course of the investigation it was determined that the suspects had burglarized several vehicles in the area.  Several items were recovered, but the suspects were unsure what vehicles they had taken them from.  The three suspects were charged with Burglary of a Motor Vehicle.  WM 17 was also charged with Fraudulent Possession of Identifying Information for having possession and use of another person’s driver’s license.  All suspects were transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

 

Woodlands

 The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 1201 Lake Woodlands:

12/23 – White Female 19 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (2 items) was valued at $106.00.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

12/26 – White Female 19 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (2 items) was valued at $96.00.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

12/26 – White Male 18 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (3 items) was valued at $156.00.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

12/27 – White Female 52 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (25 items) was valued at $406.36.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

12/30 – White Male 26 yrs old and White Male 30 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (34 items) was valued at $1838.50.  The first suspect to exit the store attempted to evade officers in his vehicle, prior to being arrested.  He was also charged with Evading Using a Vehicle.  Both suspects were transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

1/1 – White Female 15 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (2 items) was valued at $58.98.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center without incident.

1/1 – Black Female 16 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (2 items) was valued at $63.99.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center without incident.

1/1 – White Male 17 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (5 items) was valued at $150.00.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 3040 College Park Drive:

12/18 – White Male 19 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (4 items) was valued at $144.88.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

12/20 – White Female 21 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (9 items) was valued at $154.48.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

12/20 – Black Female 23 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (5 items) was valued at $82.64.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

12/23 – 2 White Females 19 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (46 items) was valued at $262.09.  The suspects were transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 10777 Kuykendahl Road :

12/23 – White Female 45 yrs old and White Male 37 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (11 items) was valued at $196.05.  The suspects were transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 9595 Six Pines Drive:

12/18 – White Female 18 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (2 items) was valued at $119.08.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

The following Driving While Intoxicated arrest(s) were made:

12/18 – White Female 21 yrs old – was arrested for DWI in the 1600 block of Lake Robbins.  The suspect was seen striking a bike rack as she was exiting the parking garage.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

12/20 – White Male 56 yrs old – was arrested for DWI at the intersection of Panther Creek and Woodlands Parkway, after Deputies were called to the scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident with Injuries.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

12/20 – White Male 18 yrs old – was arrested for DWI at the intersection of Palmer Woods and Woodlands Parkway, after Deputies were called to that location for a vehicle stopped in the intersection and the driver asleep.  The suspect had a strong odor of marijuana emitting from his person.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

12/23 – White Male 28 yrs old – was arrested for DWI on Grogans Mill Road after a traffic stop for Speeding and Failure to Maintain a Single Lane of Travel.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

12/24 – White Female 24 yrs old – was arrested for DWI on E. Alden Bridge after a traffic stop for Speeding and a Defective Headlight.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

 

District 3 – Lt. Darrel Conn (East County)

On 12/24/09 Deputy Trammel was dispatched to West Rd. in reference to a suspicious vehicle call.  Upon his arrival he found the vehicle and interviewed the driver.  A search of the vehicle was conducted and Marijuana was found in the vehicle.  The suspect, a 29 year old male was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.

On 12/27/09 Deputy Ortiz was dispatched to the 20000 block of N. Sabine Dr. in reference to an Aggravated Assault call.  Upon his arrival he met with the victim who claimed that the suspect had intentionally swerved his vehicle at him and ran over his foot.  The suspect then exited his vehicle and pointed a firearm at the victim and made verbal threats.  The suspect, a 64 year old male, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and Deadly Conduct.

On 12/28/09 Deputy Ortiz was on patrol and conducted a traffic stop for no tail lamps.  The driver was identified and the Deputy then observed the driver take out a bag of marijuana from her purse and place it between the seats.  The Deputy asked the driver what was in the bag and the driver admitted it was marijuana.  The suspect, a 30 year old female, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.

On 12/31/09 Deputy Trammel was dispatched to the 23000 block of Charterwood in reference to a criminal mischief call.  Upon his arrival he learned that the suspect was burning the victim’s belongings in the driveway and that the suspect also prevented the victim from calling 911.  The suspect, a 39 year old male, was arrested and charged with Interference with an Emergency Telephone Call and Criminal Mischief.

On 12/31/09 Deputy Trammel was dispatched to the area of FM 1485@Hwy 59 in reference to a Family Violence call.  Upon his arrival he learned that the victim had been struck by the suspect while she was driving and had a busted lip.  The suspect, a 30 year old male, was arrested and charged with Assault Family Violence.

 

District 4 – Lt. David Park (West County)

On December 29th at approximately 12:30 am MCSO Sergeant Russell stopped a vehicle for a defective headlight.  The male driver’s TDL was checked and revealed to have two active warrants for Theft by Check in Liberty County and Theft by Check in Jasper County.  The male subject was arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On December 28th MCSO Corporal Sumrall was patrolling the Armadillo Woods Subdivision at approximately 7:30 pm when the Deputy observed a vehicle approaching that appeared to be speeding.  The Corporal checked the approaching vehicle with radar which indicated the vehicle was traveling at 51 mph in the 35 mph zone.  Corporal Sumrall turned around and attempted to catch up to the vehicle which appeared to pick up speed in attempt to evade.  The driver reached speeds of 80 mph as he sped through neighborhoods and at one point slowed down and a female jumped out. The driver continued trying to evade until he reach Turtle Creek where he jumped out of the vehicle while it was still rolling. He almost immediately fell down and at this time Deputy Parks with Pct 5 tackled him and he was placed in handcuffs.  The total length of the pursuit was approximately 22 miles.  The male subject was arrested and charged with Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle, a State Jail Felony offense.  He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On December 27th at approximately 9:00 pm MCSO Deputy Williams and MCSO Corporal Sumrall were dispatched to a Suspicious Persons call in the 37000 Block of FM 249.  Upon arrival the Deputies observed a male subject sitting in a red truck with his windows down.  As Deputy Williams approached the vehicle he observed the subject to be drinking a beer.  Due to the subject being intoxicated and not only an endangerment to himself, but to others the subject was placed into custody and issued a Class C Citation for Public Intoxication.  The subject was transported to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe by MCSO Deputy Zavorski.

On December 27th at approximately 2:45 am MCSO Deputy Herman saw a person walking along the edge of the roadway on FM 1774.  The Deputy stopped to talk with the male and had MCSO Dispatch check the subject through NCIC/TCIC.   Dispatch advised the subject had an open warrant.  Deputy Herman placed the subject into custody for the warrant.  While removing the subject’s property from his pockets, a clear plastic bag was discovered containing marijuana.  Approximately 14.4 grams was recovered.  The subject was transported to jail without incident and an additional charge of Possession of Marijuana was added to his Arrest Record.

On December 27th at approximately 4:30 pm MCSO Deputy Williams was dispatched to a Suspicious Person in a vehicle in the 18800 Block of Red Adler Ct.  As Deputy Williams was en-route traveling north bound on Nichols Sawmill he observed a vehicle matching the description.  The Deputy pulled the vehicle over and approached the driver asking for his driver’s license and proof of insurance.  The driver stated he did not have his license with him.  Deputy Williams placed the male subject under arrest and transported him to the South County Jail where the subject was finger printed and found that the subject had given the deputy a false name.  The ADA was contacted and new charges of Failure to Indentify were placed against the subject.

On December 27th at approximately 3:00 am MCSO Deputy Zavorski was dispatched to the 27000 Block of Canyon Ranch Circle in reference to an Assault in progress.  Upon arrival the Deputy separated two male subjects.  After the Deputy interviewed the witnesses he determined that one male subject was very intoxicated and the other male subject tried to stop him from driving.  A female subject had gotten the intoxicated subject’s keys and he had at that time the suspect punched her in the face.  This caused the male subject to tackle the intoxicated subject and along with a juvenile the two held down the suspect until police arrived.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and charged with Assault Bodily Injury and Terroristic Threat.

On December 26th  at approximately 10:00 am MCSO Deputy Gonzalez responded to a Burglary of a Business call in Lake Windcrest.  Upon arrival the Deputy was met by the Complainant who advised that he and several of his employees had responded to a telephone outage in Lake Windcrest and discovered someone had broken into a remote terminal and tried to steal copper phone wire.  The subjects had attempted to pull out the wire using a vehicle with a chain or rope, but failed in getting the wire out.  The wires were all cut from the switch board down to the ground, but not taken.  Total damage is estimated to be around $6000.  This case is being referred to CID Detectives.

 

District 5 – Lt. Don Lacy   (Northwest County)

December 31, 2009 at 11:30 PM Deputy Durbin responded to the 18500 block of SH 105 West on a Warrant Service. The female subject was located and arrested for an outstanding Blue Warrant from the Texas Department of Corrections and placed into the Montgomery County Jail without bond.

January 01, 2010 at 1:00 AM Deputy Durbin conducted a traffic stop in the 16500 block of SH 105 West. After completing several standard field sobriety tests the female driver was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on $600 bond.

January 01, 2010 at 1:15 AM Deputy Dishman responded to the 18000 block of SH 105 West in regards to a disturbance. Investigation revealed where a male and female had been involved in a verbal altercation. The female was arrested for Public Intoxication and placed into the Montgomery County Jail.

January 02, 2010 at 9:30 PM Deputy Favorat responded to the 10800 block of Buck Ridge in regards to an Assault. Investigation revealed where two brothers had been involved in a physical altercation. Injuries sustained by the Complainant were minor requiring no immediate medical attention. The Suspect was arrested for Assault Class C Misdemeanor and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on an undetermined bond.

January 04, 2010 at 5:30 PM Deputy Farmer responded to the 12600 block of SH 105 West in attempt to locate an individual wanted for Telephone Harassment. The Suspect was located, arrested and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on $500 bond.
