Weekly Media Summary & “BLOTTER” Review from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office

District 1 – Lt. Jim Fleming (North County)

 

On January 5, Corporal P. Smith was sent to the 24400 block of Hwy 105 East in reference to a burglary of a habitation and unlawful carrying of a weapon.  The Deputy met with the male homeowner who advised he and his wife came home and found a bag at the back door loaded with items from their house. The male complainant checked with neighbors for any witnesses and on his way back to the residence observed a male walking on Hwy 105 East at a fast pace.  The complainant confronted the male and found out the male had broken into the residence. The complainant brought the male back to the residence and while there the male took a pistol out of his pants and attempted to hide it on a living room chair. The Deputy received all information that had taken place and detained the male suspect.  The 25 year old male from Cleveland was arrested at 5:10pm and transported to jail.

On January 6, Deputy S. Degner was attempting a warrant service in the 12400 block of Park Lane when a male suspect pulled in.  The male was given verbal commands and refused to follow the orders. The male went behind a vehicle and emptied bullets and other items from his pullover.  The male was questioned about the vehicle he was in and he advised the truck belonged to his uncle.  A call was placed to the registered owner of the vehicle and the Deputy found out the truck had just been stolen. A lot of property was also located in the truck and it was discovered the male had burglarized five vehicles in the area he had stolen the truck.  The male advised he was out on bond for a prior unauthorized use of a vehicle and ten vehicle burglaries. The 20 year old male from Willis was arrested at 4:10am, charged with auto theft and five motor vehicle burglaries and transported to jail.

On January 6, Deputy J. Kader received information that a wanted male suspect was at a residence in the 12400 block of Hulon Drive.  On arrival the Deputy met with the homeowner who advised the male was in the living room with a female companion. As the Deputy approached, the female’s purse was observed on the floor and a baggy of marijuana was seen laying in plain view in the purse.  The wanted male was sleeping on the sofa.   The 22 year old male from Willis was arrested at 4:48am for a motion to revoke (original charge arson) warrant out of Montgomery County.  The 20 year old female from Conroe was also arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. Both subjects were transported to jail.

On January 6, Deputy J. Kader was sent to the 12100 block of Old County Road in reference to a family violence assault call.  The Deputy met with a male complainant who was holding down his finance who had threatened to cut herself with a knife. The male and female had been arguing when the argument became physical and the female struck the male after backing him into a corner.  The 25 year old female from Willis was arrested at 11:22pm and taken to jail.

On January 8, Deputy J. Hodges and Sgt. E. Ward were notified of a criminal mischief and terroristic threat in the 10500 block of Royal Terrell.  The Deputies met with a male complainant who stated earlier his vehicle had been “keyed” while he was not home. When he got home he heard a noise outside in his driveway.  The male’s brother-in-law was yelling obscenities at him and said he had a gun and was going to kill him and whoever lived with him.  Witnesses said the male suspect had said he damaged the complainant’s vehicle.  The 35 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 8:05pm and transported to jail.

A 25 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 10:05pm, January 9, in the 500 block of Medical Center Blvd by Sgt. C. Rogers for three theft by check warrants out of Liberty County. The female had been treated and released from Conroe ER.  The female was taken to jail.

A 26 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 1:06am, January 10, in the 12000 block of Cedar Lane by Deputy J. Hodges for an accident causing damage warrant out of Montgomery County.  The Deputy was assisting with a warrant service.  The female was taken to jail.  A 17 year old female, also on location, was arrested by Sgt. C. Rogers for a failure to appear and a contempt of court warrant out of Montgomery County.  She was taken to juvenile detention.

On January 10, Deputy J. Kader was sent to the 1400 block of Jeffcote Road for a disturbance call involving a male that had left the scene.  The Deputy located the male and detained him for public intoxication.  The 36 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 4:17am and taken to jail.

A 26 year old female from Spring was arrested at 6:27pm, January 10, in the 12000 block of Old County Road by Deputy A. Cross for a driving while license invalid warrant out of Montgomery County.  The Deputy was investigating a family disturbance call.  The female was taken to jail.

District 2 – (South County)

 

1/8 – White Male 30 yrs old – was arrested on an outstanding warrant and Resisting Arrest, after Deputies were called to a disturbance in progress at 150 Valleywood.  Witnesses stated that a male and female were arguing in an upstairs room.  For officer safety, Dep. Martin attempted to place the suspect in hand restraints, at which time he began resisting and was eventually detained.  Once confirmation was received on the warrant, Dep. Martin attempted to place the suspect in the patrol vehicle where he became more combative with the deputies and refusing to get in the vehicle.  Once inside he began kicking and banging his head on the windows.  The subject was then transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

1/3 – White Female 43 yrs old – was arrested after a traffic stop on IH 45 North.  Upon making contact with the driver, Dep. Martin noticed her to have a strong odor of alcohol emitting from the vehicle and that she had bloodshot, glassy eyes.  After conducting Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, it was determined that she was intoxicated and taken into custody for Driving While Intoxicated with Child, as her 12 yr old son was also in the vehicle.  She was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without further incident.  The child was transported home and released to family. 

1/5 – White Male 50 yrs old and White Male 30 – were arrested for Reckless Driving in the area of IH 45 and Briar Rock.  The suspects were both traveling at high rates of speed, making unsafe lane changes and continuously antagonizing each other.  Neither driver chose to abandon the encounter that was putting themselves and others in danger to the point they actually collided with each other. Both were transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident. 

The following Possession of Marijuana arrest(s) were made:

1/3 – Black Male 35 yrs old – was arrested for possession of Marijuana after Dep. Gordy checked a suspicious vehicle in the area of Carriage Hills Blvd.  During the course of the investigation, Dep. Gordy located a bowl containing marijuana.  The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

1/8 – White Male 17 yrs old – was arrested for possession of Marijuana after Sgt. Jenkins checked a suspicious vehicle in the area of Timberline and Rogue Creek.  During the course of his investigation Sgt. Jenkins located a clear plastic bag with marijuana and a pipe with marijuana residue.  The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

 

District 3 – Lt. Darrel Conn (East County)

 

On 1/4/10 Deputy Amstutz was dispatched to the 27000 block of Lantern Ln. in reference to a stolen vehicle report.  The complainant advised that their vehicle was stolen during the night.  The complainant later called back advising that they had recovered the vehicle.  During the investigation it was learned that the complainant’s spouse had the vehicle and the complainant knowingly had filed a false police report.  The complainant now suspect, a 46 year old male, was arrested and charged with False Report to a Peace Officer.  The spouse, a 49 year old female was found to be in possession of methadone and was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. 

On 1/11/10 Deputy Walker was dispatched to the 20000 block of Sabine Dr. in reference to a Theft call.  Deputy Walker learned that the complainant had been saving several hundred pounds of aluminum cans and observed three suspects stealing the cans and taking them to a recycling company.  The Deputy learned through his investigation that they had made several trips to the property and recycling company.  Two male suspects, 20 and 27 years old and one female suspect, age 17 were arrested for Theft.

On 1/4/10 Deputy Ortiz was dispatched to the 26000 block of Carol Ln. in reference to an Assault Family Violence call.  Upon his arrival he learned from the complainant that she had been struck in the face and legs by her live in boyfriend.  The suspect, a 22 year old male, was arrested and charged with Assault Family Violence.

On 1/6/10 Deputy Layman was dispatched to the 20000 block of Youpon Ln. in reference to an Assault Family Violence call.  Upon his arrival he learned that the complainant and her father got into a verbal disagreement.  The father then punched the adult daughter in the mouth.  The daughter then tried to call the police and the father punched her several more times in the head during a struggle.  The suspect, a 69 year old male, was arrested and charged with Assault Family Violence. 

 

District 4 – Lt. David Park (West County)

 

On January 6th at approximately 2:00 pm MCSO Deputy Birch was dispatched to the 20600 Block of FM1488 in reference to an Assault Family Violence.  Deputy Birch met with a Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy that advised while he was driving down FM 1488 in his marked patrol vehicle that he was flagged down by the Complainant.  The Harris County Deputy stated the Complainant was lying in a ditch with a male subject standing over her.   The Complainant advised that she and the male subject had gotten into an argument and he had refused to let her out of their vehicle and physically assaulted her.  Deputy Birch arrested the male subject for Assault (Family Violence).  The subject was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On January 4th at approximately 4:00 pm MCSO Corporal Sumrall and Deputy Williams were performing a Warrant Service in the 35000 Block of SH 249 when they met with a young child unsupervised at his house.  The child advised when he arrived home from school at 3:45 as he always does, his mother was not home.  The door of the home he was open.  The Deputies checked the residence.  While in the home the Deputies observed what appeared to be left over Marijuana.  The oven door was wide open and turned on.  While waiting for CPS the mother arrived home approximately 45 minutes later. The mother was taken into custody for the warrant (Possession of Marijuana) and was charged with Child Abandonment.

On January 1st at approximately 9:30 pm MCSO Deputy Zavorski was dispatched to Pinehurst Loop in reference to a welfare check.  The Deputy was advised that there was an 11 year male walking around the trailer park looking for his mother.  After arriving Deputy Zavorski found the child who advised his mother had left that morning with a man on a motorcycle and he had no idea what time she was coming back.  The child also stated he always takes care of himself and doesn’t ever have anyone watch him or coming by to check on him.  CPS was notified and the child was released to his grandmother.  When contacted, the mother came home and Deputy Zavorski arrested her for Child Abandonment.

On January 1st at approximately 3:30 am MCSO Deputy Zavorski was exiting the Hazy Hollow subdivision and saw a male subject run out into the road and fall down.  The male was was half dressed and covered in dirt and had a strong odor of alcohol.  He was not able to tell the Deputy where he was.  The deputy arrested the subject for Public Intoxication and while enroute to the Montgomery County Jail the Deputy was advised by a DPS Trooper who was working a Motor Vehicle Accident on Decker Prairie that the male involved in that accident had gotten a ride from a passerby and was dropped off in Hazy Hollow.

On December 29th at approximately 11:30 pm MCSO Sergeant Russell was dispatched to a Disturbance in Progress at the intersection of Baltzell Road near Price.  Upon arrival the Sergeant learned the Actor had fled the scene on foot and was highly intoxicated.  Upon clearing the scene the Sergeant located the male subject staggering in the middle of the roadway trying to direct traffic.  The subject was arrested for Public Intoxication.   The subject has two pending charges in JP court for Public Intoxication.

 

District 5 – Lt. Don Lacy   (Northwest County)

 

January 08, 2010 at 5:30 PM Deputy Durbin conducted a traffic stop in the 16500 block of SH 105 West. Upon checking the wanted status of the male driver it was learned that he had an outstanding Felony Warrant. The subject was arrested and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on $1500 bond.

January 09, 2010 at 1:00 AM Deputy Garner responded to the 26300 block of Old Hwy. 105 West for the report of Criminal Mischief. The Complainant reported that someone intentionally damaged the vehicle while it was parked and unoccupied. The damages were estimated to be in excess of $1500. The case is currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division.

January 09, 2010 at 3:30 PM Cpl. Bruce responded to the 200 block of Lake Meadows Dr. for the reported Burglary of a Building. The Complainant reported that someone forced entry into his storage building and stole numerous hand and power tools. The amount of theft was estimated to be in excess of $1900. The case is currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division.

January 09, 2010 at 8:20 PM Deputy Durbin responded to the 10600 block of Twin Circles for a Welfare Concern. Officers discovered an intoxicated adult male laying in the front yard of a residence. The subject was arrested for Public Intoxication and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on an undetermined bond.

January 11, 2010 at 8:30 PM Deputy Garner responded to the 14300 block of Cecala Dr. for the report of a Suspicious Person. Officers discovered an intoxicated adult male staggering down the middle of the street. The subject was arrested for Public Intoxication and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on an undetermined bond.

 

District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Woodlands)

 

The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 1201 Lake Woodlands:

12/22 – Black Male 19 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (7 items) was valued at $1600.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

12/29 – White Male 22 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (4 items) was valued at $162.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

1/5 – White Female 17 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (5 items) was valued at $114.95.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

1/6 – White Female 34 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (2 items) was valued at $148.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

1/9 – White Male 16 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (2 items) was valued at $418.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center without incident.

1/9 – White Female 26 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (3 items) was valued at $290.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail where during the booking process she was found to be in possession of white tablets identified as Soma. In addition to the Theft charges she was also charged with Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility.

The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 3040 College Park Drive:

12/28 – White Male 21 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (2 items) was valued at $44.92.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

½ – White Male 29 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (7 items) was valued at $122.74.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

1/3 – Black Male 28 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (4 items) was valued at $72.88.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 3052 College Park Drive:

12/23 – White Female 23 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (1 item) was valued at $224.70.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

The following arrest(s) were made:

12/26 – White Male 27 yrs old – was arrested in the 1600 block of Lake Robbins.  The suspect was seen running a red light at which time Dep. Pternitis initiated a traffic stop.  A check of the vehicle temporary plates showed that the plate was registered to another vehicle.  Dep. Pternitis contacted the on-call Assistant District Attorney, who accepted charges for Wrong Registration.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

12/28 – White Male 19 yrs old – was arrested after a traffic stop in the parking garage at 1330 Lake Robbins Drive.  The suspect was seen speeding and squealing his tires in the parking garage.  During the course of the traffic stop, the suspect was found to be in possession of marijuana and a butterfly knife.  The suspect was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

12/28 – White Female 23 yrs old – was arrested for Making Alcohol available to a Minor.  Deputies were called to a noise disturbance at 1601 Lake Robbins, where they found the suspect and several other people having a party.  Five of the people, ages 18-19, admitted to drinking and received citations for Minor Consuming Alcohol.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
