Weekly Media Summary & “BLOTTER” Review:

District 1 – Lt. Jim Fleming (North County)

On January 12, Deputy S. Degner was notified of a family violence assault in the 3800 block of North Walker Road.  The Deputy met with a female complainant who advised she and her son got into an argument that turned physical with the male striking his mother on the back of the head causing a large lump.  He also hit her hand causing swelling.  The male left when his mother started calling 9-1-1, but before he left he threw some cinder blocks at the mother’s vehicle, breaking the windshield and side window causing over $800.00 in damage.  The Deputy located the male on the street and detained him.  The 24 year old male from Cleveland was arrested at 8:18pm and transported to jail.

On January 15, Deputy R. Salazar was dispatched to the 10600 block of Royal Cavins in reference to a family violence assault.  The Deputy met with a male complainant who said he and his wife got into a verbal argument.  The complainant started to walk away when the female hit him on the back of the head with a full beer bottle causing a cut.  The 23 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 2:40am and transported to jail.

On January 15, Deputy K. Albritton was sent to the 10600 block of Royal Pines in reference to a family violence assault call.  The Deputy met with a female complainant who advised she and her husband had gotten into an argument that turned violent.  The male struck her with a closed fist about her face causing bodily injury.  The female was observed by the Deputy to have a bloody lip and swollen facial areas.  The 32 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 7:03pm and transported to jail.

On January 17, Deputy J. Kader responded to the 10300 block of Royal Magnolia to assist another Deputy with a family violence call.  The Deputy was advised a female suspect had just left the scene in a vehicle.  The Deputy located the vehicle in the 13600 block of FM 1097 East and initiated a traffic stop. The Deputy noticed paraphernalia commonly used for smoking marijuana in a cup holder near the driver. Marijuana was located near the cup holder and the female was detained.  The 25 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 1:54am and transported to jail.

On January 17, Deputy O. Coward and Corporal P. Smith were notified of a criminal trespass in the 4400 block of Grand Oaks.  The Deputies met with a witness who directed the Deputies to an area where a vehicle was stuck in the ditch near a no trespassing sign.  Several persons were near the vehicle. The driver was identified and detained for damaging the property (ruts cut into the grass).  The 18 year old male driver from Willis was arrested at 5:43pm, charged with criminal mischief and taken to jail.

A 38 year old male from Willis was arrested at 9:43pm, January 17, in the 16500 block of Taylor Court by Deputy S. Degner for a family violence assault warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was investigating a disturbance.  The male was taken to jail.

 

District 2 – (South County)

 

1/10 – White Male 51 yrs old – was arrested for False Report to a Peace Officer.  The suspect had called 911 to report that his room had been burglarized earlier and several items had been stolen.  Dep. Wakefield responded to the scene and met with the suspect.  During the course of the investigation it was found that the suspect had hidden the items himself due to a family issue.  Dep. Wakefield explained that making a false report was a crime and cleared the call unfounded.  A short time later the suspect again called 911 to report a theft of his items and stated that no one showed up earlier when he called.  Dep. Wakefield again responded and again located the “stolen” items.  Dep. Wakefield then contacted the District Attorney’s office and explained the situation.  The on-call DA accepted charges for False Report to a Peace Officer and the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

1/11 – White Male 24 yrs old – was arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Theft of Copper.  The suspect and another white male were observed taking apart an air conditioning unit on Robinson Road.  The suspects removed some items, later identified as copper, and left the location proceeding to a trailer park on Curry Road where one suspect unloaded some items from the vehicle and stayed.  The arrested proceeded down Woodlands Parkway where a traffic stop was initiated by Dep. Kimpton on the vehicle.  During his investigation, it was determined that the vehicle was stolen out of Houston.  Dep. Kimpton contacted the on-call Assistant District Attorney regarding this incident and charges were accepted.  The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. 

1/11 – White Male 42 yrs old – was arrested for Violation of a Criminal Trespass Warning of a Habitation.  Dep. Phythian was dispatched to a residence at 25650 IH45 after the complainant came home to find the suspect in her living room.  She asked him to leave or she would call the Sheriff’s Department.  When he refused to leave, she called the MCSO for assistance since she had previously had a Criminal Trespass Warning filed against the suspect.  Upon arrival, Dep. Phythian detained the suspect for officer safety and contacted dispatch, which confirmed an active Criminal Trespass Warning for the suspect for that location.  Charges were accepted by the District Attorney’s Office and the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

 

District 3 – Lt. Darrel Conn (East County)

 

On 1/14/10 Deputy Martinez was dispatched to the 20000 block of Hwy 59 in reference to an intoxicated male.  The Deputy made contact with the male who was sitting in his vehicle.  The male was found to be intoxicated and stated he was going to drive home to Houston.  The 46 year old male was arrested for Public Intoxication for his safety and the safety of others.

On 1/18/10 Deputy Ray was dispatched to the 21000 block of Live Oak St. in reference to a suspicious person call.  The caller stated that a white male was pushing a 4 wheeler down the street and looked suspicious.  The Deputy arrived on location and found the male pushing the 4 wheeler.  The Deputy located the location where it had been taken from and found that the building had been burglarized and the 4 wheeler stolen.  The suspect, an 18 year old male, was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Building.

On 1/18/10 Deputy Amstutz conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 24000 block of Briar Berry Ln.  Upon contact with the driver he smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle.  The driver then admitted to placing a bag of marijuana on the floorboard of the passenger side.  During a search of the vehicle a spring loaded knife was also located.  The marijuana was located and the suspect, a 21 year old male, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.

 

District 4 – Lt. David Park (West County)

 

On January 14th MCSO Deputy Herman attempted a Warrant Service on Maurice Street in Magnolia. The Deputy was advised the subject had left the location but would be returning shortly in a green GMC.  Deputy Herman found the GMS at Highland Blvd and Parker.  After initiating a traffic stop the Deputy observed the wanted subject in the front passenger seat.  The subject was removed from the vehicle and his warrant confirmed through dispatch.  The subject was placed in custody and transported to the South County Jail without incident.

On January 10th MCSO Deputy LaSalle made contact with two male subjects in the driveway of a residence on Goodson Loop in reference to a report of Criminal Mischief.  As the Deputy began discussing the act of Criminal Mischief he was able to detect the smell of alcoholic beverage coming from both of the subject’s.  Both subjects were unsteady on their feet, had bloodshot eyes and their speech was slurred.  Deputy LaSalle felt the two subjects were a danger to themselves and to the public.  They were arrested for Public Intoxication and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On January 7th at approximately 10:00 pm MSCO Deputy Zavorski and MCSO Sgt Russell were dispatched to the 18000 Block of Limber Pines in reference to a Family Violence.  Upon arrival they were met by a male subject who was very intoxicated.  The subject became very aggressive towards the officers.  Deputy Zavorski attempted to put the subject hands behind his back, but he began to kick and attempted to free his arms.  The subject was finally detained and placed in the back of the patrol car.  The subject was charged with resisting arrest.

On January 2nd MCSO Deputy Crandell assisted in a vehicle pursuit with DPS.  DPS was in pursuit of a Pontiac Grand AM on Nichols Sawmill.  Deputy Crandell headed west on FM 1774 in case the pursuit turned on FM 1774.  As Deputy Crandell came upon FM 1486 he observed a vehicle matching the description of the suspect heading eastbound around a stopped vehicle and making an illegal left hand turn.  The Deputy began to pursue the suspect vehicle with emergency lights and siren activated.  The pursuit ended in Grimes County where the suspect fled the vehicle into the woods. The Deputy stayed on scene until DPS arrived and took over the scene.  The suspect was not apprehended.

 

District 5 – Lt. Don Lacy   (Northwest County)

 

January 15, 2010 at 2:30 AM Deputy Garner responded to the 12300 block of FM 2854 in regards to a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival officers made contact with male occupants of vehicle where narcotics were observed. One suspect was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on an undetermined bond.

January 16, 2010 at 11:15 PM Deputy Rex conducted a traffic stop in the 14900 block of SH 105 West. Investigation revealed that the female driver had an outstanding warrant for Theft from another county. The suspect was arrested for the outstanding warrant and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on $600.00 bond.

January 17, 2010 at 11:55 PM Cpl. Peckne conducted a traffic stop in the 16500 block of SH 105 West. Investigation revealed that a passenger in the vehicle had an outstanding warrant for Possession of Dangerous Drug. The suspect was arrested for the outstanding warrant and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on $2,000.00 bond.

January 18, 2010 at 1:50 PM Deputy Garlock conducted a traffic stop in the 13200 block of SH 105 West. Deputy Garlock detained the male passenger in his patrol vehicle while investigating his involvement in a recent disturbance in the area. While detained in the patrol vehicle, the suspect kicked the rear window out of the vehicle causing damage in excess of $400.00. The suspect was then arrested for Criminal Mischief and Failure to Identify and subsequently placed into the Montgomery County Jail on $500.00 bond for each charge.

January 18, 2010 at 2:05 PM Deputy Neeley responded to the 18500 block of Keenan Cut Off in regards to Theft. Investigation revealed where suspect(s) had entered a business site and stole a large amount of cooper wire with an estimated value in excess of $3,000.00. The case is currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division.

 

District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Woodlands)

 

 

The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 1201 Lake Woodlands:

1/12 – White Female 17 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (5 items) was valued at $240.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

1/13 – White Female 17 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (5 items) was valued at $180.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

1/13 – White Female 17 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (11 items) was valued at $255. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

1/13 – White Female 15 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (3 items) was valued at $68.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center without incident.

1/14 – White Male 18 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (2 items) was valued at $72.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail.

1/14 – White Female 37 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (3 items) was valued at $64.97.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

1/14 – Black Female 46 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (25 items) was valued at $772.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

1/14 – White Female 15 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (1 item) was valued at $75.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center without incident.

1/14 – White Female 15 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (1 item) was valued at $76.50.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center without incident.

The following arrest(s) were made:

On January 14, 2010, Dep. Conklin and Dep. Rawley were at 25 Waterway Avenue when they heard the manager of a restaurant yelling at a white male to stop.   They observed the suspect, White Male 28 yrs old, exiting the restaurant and running away down Water Way Avenue.  Both Deputies ordered the suspect to stop and then chased the suspect and were able to detain him and return him to the restaurant.  There they found out that the suspect had broken a mirror in the men’s room.  Approximate damage was valued at $40.  Dep. Conklin contacted the District Attorney’s Office and charges for Evading were accepted.  The suspect was also issued citations for Criminal Mischief and Public Intoxication.  He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without further incident.
