MCSO Crime Report

District 1 – Lt. Jim Fleming (North County)

On January 26, Deputy J. Kader was sent to the 16300 block of Crockett Bend in reference to a suspicious vehicle call. The Deputy located the vehicle in front of an abandoned mobile home that was for sale.  A male was found to be asleep in the vehicle. The male advised he had dropped off some friends in the woods to hunt deer. The Deputy could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.  A consent to search was granted and the Deputy located marijuana in several parts of the vehicle. The male was detained at this time. The Deputy also located bolt cutters and a large amount of copper wire which was freshly cut.  The 18 year old male from Cleveland was arrested at 2:25am, charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a criminal instrument and taken to jail. The investigation on the copper wire theft is ongoing.

On January 27, Cpl P. Smith was dispatched to the 11300 block of Underwood in reference to a family violence assault call.  The Deputy met with a 47 year old female and her 19 year old daughter.  The mother related that she and her daughter got into an argument that turned physical.  The daughter had grabbed her mother by the hair and dragged her around on the floor, kicking her twice on the back.  The daughter was detained.  During a search of the female, marijuana was discovered concealed on her person.  The 19 year old female from Willis was arrested at 3:51pm and transported to jail.

A 41 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 9:20pm, January 27, in the 9700 block of Magnolia by Deputy S. Degner for an assault warrant out of Montgomery County.  The Deputy had received information on the male’s location. The male was taken to jail.

A 36 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 1:00am, January 28, in the 11600 block of Mockingbird Hill by Deputy J. Kader for a possession of a controlled substance/bond forfeiture warrant out of Montgomery County and a DWLI fail to appear warrant out of Comanche County. The Deputy had received information on the male’s location. The male was taken to jail.

On January 29, Deputy J. Hodges was notified of a family violence assault in progress call in the 14200 block of Shadow Bay Drive. The Deputy met with a female complainant who stated she and her husband got into a verbal argument.  The male struck her with both fists and then dragged her down the stairs. The 60 year old female victim was transported to the emergency room.  The 63 year old male was arrested at 9:37pm and transported to jail.

On January 30, Deputies K. Berger and A. Terrell responded to a family violence assault call in the 13100 block of Royal Springs.  The Deputies met with a female complainant who stated her 33 year old son threatened to hurt her with a wrench and prevented her from calling 9-1-1. The male had been kicking and throwing things in the house and sometime during the tirade he hit her on the head with an unknown object.  The 33 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 3:00pm and transported to jail.

A 49 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 12:56am, January 31, in the 1700 block of Mann Road by Deputy J. Hodges for an assault causes bodily injury warrant out of Montgomery County.  The Deputy had been advised on the male’s location. The male was transported to jail.

District 2 – (South County)

1/19 – White Male 40 yrs old – was arrested on I-45 just south of SH 242.  The suspect was pulled over for a traffic violation (obscured license plate).  A check of the license plate number found that the plate did not match the vehicle.  The driver stated he had taken the plates off another of his vehicles and placed them on the one he was driving.  The suspect was taken into custody for Wrong License Plate and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

1/20 – White Male 30 yrs old – was arrested for Trespassing at 305 Sawdust Road.  Dep. Swank was dispatched to a disturbance at this location.  Upon arrival he met with employees who stated the suspect had been asked to leave due to the disturbance he was causing.  The suspect would not immediately leave and was escorted by employees out of the establishment.  The suspect had slurred speech, and red glassy eyes.  A check of the suspect found that he had a previous Criminal Trespass Warning issued for the location.  He was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

1/22 – White Female 40 yrs old – was arrested for Evading and Driving While Intoxicated.  Witnesses reported to Deputies working an off-duty extra job that a female was possibly urinating in the parking lot and then identified her pulling out of a parking spot.  Deputies approached the vehicle and ordered her to turn it off several times.  When one of the deputies attempted to open the door, she sped off onto Sawdust Road.  Dep. Wallace proceeded to his patrol vehicle and caught up with the suspect as she was entering IH-45 Southbound lanes.  Dep. Wallace was able to stop and detain her just north of FM 2920.  The suspect was returned to the original scene, where Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were conducted.  At the conclusion of the tests, the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

1/25 – White Male 18 yrs old – was arrested for Criminal Mischief.  The suspect was observed at 3 am in a driveway by a homeowner who noticed their motion sensor lights had turned on.  The homeowner ran outside and was able to get suspect and vehicle information for officers.  The suspect was later identified as the ex-boyfriend of the complainant’s daughter.  Dep. Hernandez asked about the damage to the complainant’s property, and the suspect responded that he didn’t think he had done that much.  The suspect had an odor of alcohol on his breath and extremely slurred speech.  In speaking with the suspect’s parent, the suspect was also believed to be under the influence of Xanax.  He was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. 

1/31 – White Male 24 yrs old, 2 White Females 28 and 18 yrs old – were all arrested on College Park Drive on three (3) counts of  Possession of Controlled Substance (Heroin, Methamphetamine, and Xanax).  Cpl. Barber and Dep. Martin were dispatched to a Disturbance in Progress at 3000 College Park Drive.  Upon arrival, Deputies identified the suspects.  All three suspects appeared to be heavily intoxicated as they had glassy bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and were unable to walk or stand without stumbling or swaying.  During the course of the investigation, and with the help of Pct. 3 Constable Sgt. Corn and his K-9 partner, two bags were found containing drug paraphernalia, several Xanax pills, a small bag of “black tar” heroin, and small bag of methamphetamine “ice” as well as two open containers of alcohol.  All three suspects were taken into custody for the possession charges.  All suspects were advised of the consequences of introducing contraband into a correctional facility and asked if they were hiding any other contraband.  All denied having any on their persons.  Upon arrival at the jail, a search of back seat of the patrol vehicle transporting the 18 yr old suspect found more of the Xanax pills.  A search of the male subjects property during the booking process also found more Xanax pills.  He was also charged with Introduction of a Controlled Substance into a Correctional Facility.

District 3 – Lt. Darrel Conn (East County)

On 1/22/10 Deputy Ray was dispatched to the 20000 Duester Lane in reference to a Family Violence call.  The complainant stated that her husband had assaulted her by grabbing her wrists.  The suspect them picked up their 1 year old child and attempted to leave.  The suspect was confronted by another family member and fell to the ground on top of the child.  This caused minor injuries to the child.  The suspect, a 30 year old male was arrested and charged with Injury to a Child and Assault.

On 1/24/10 Deputy Lebeau was dispatched to the 23000 block of Spears Cir. In reference to a recovery of a stolen vehicle call.  Upon his arrival he found a 28 year old male passed out in the vehicle which came back stolen out of Galveston County.  The suspect was arrested and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.

On 1/30/10 Deputy Smith was dispatched to the 16000 block of Wrangler Rd. in reference to a Family Violence call.  Upon his arrival he found the suspect to be heavily intoxicated.  The complainant stated that her husband, the suspect had pushed her.  The suspect, a 33 year old male, was arrested and charged with Assault Family Violence.

On 2/2/10 Deputy Amstutz was on patrol and observed a vehicle with expired registration.  A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle in the 20000 block of Hwy 59.  Deputy Amstutz approached the vehicle and observed an orange pill bottle in plain view with no markings.  The occupants were nervous and attempted to hide the bottle.  During a search the bottle was found to contain individually packaged methamphetamine.  One suspect admitted to buying it with intent to sell.  Three suspects, a 35 year old female, 46 year old male and a 27 year old male were arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.  There was also $3,700 in cash seized from the stop.

District 4 – Lt. David Park (West County)

On January 28th at approximately 8:00 pm MCSO Deputy Herman was dispatched to assist EMS.  Upon arrival Deputy Herman met with a male subject standing on the side of the roadway arguing with EMS.  The Deputy detected a smell of alcoholic beverage coming from the subject’s breath and person.  The subject was unsteady on his feet and almost fell several times.  The subject was arrested for Public Intoxication. 

On January 26th at approximately 8:00 pm MCSO Deputy Suarez was dispatched to the 32000 block of Hwy 249 in reference to a Welfare Check Call.   The scene was a public parking lot with a vehicle with its engine running and the driver sitting inside consuming an alcoholic beverage. After making contact with the driver and detecting a strong odor of alcohol beverage omitting from his breath Deputy Suarez observed the driver trying to exit his vehicle and having trouble standing without help.  The driver was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (Third or More) a Felony 3.

On January 25th at approximately 10:00 am MCSO Deputy Messina was dispatched to a restaurant located on SH249 in Pinehurst.  Upon arrival the Deputy was met by the owner who advised that the electrical wire and conduit feeding into the restaurant had been damaged.  It appeared that sometime during the criminal episode the wires caught fire melting some of the rubber installation.  The owner estimated damage at $15,000. 

On January 24th at approximately 5:00 am MCSO Deputy Zavorski was dispatched to Walnut Springs in reference to a disturbance in progress.  Upon arrival the Deputy found a male subject in roadway in front of the residence.  The subject was very intoxicated and uncooperative and continuously interfered with the officers on scene while they were conducting an investigation.  The subject had several random emotional outbursts and he was arrested for Public Intoxication.

On January 23rd at approximately 10:30 pm MCSO Deputy Zavorski was dispatched Winding Creek Lane in reference to a disturbance in progress.  Dispatched advised a female subject had called 911 and advised her Fiancé was on location and was very intoxicated and out of control.   The female subject told deputies that there was never physical violence between them, that her Fiancé had just damaged their house and tried to inflict harm on himself.  Deputy Herman discovered a bag containing 5 grams of marijuana in the subject’s pocket.  The male subject was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On January 23rd at approximately 10:30 am MCSO Deputy Gonzalez was responding to a remote AT&T terminal in Magnolia for a Theft of Copper.  Upon arrival the Deputy met with the Complainant who advised that they had started to receive trouble calls that morning and responded to the area where they found someone had broken into the terminal and stolen 30 foot of copper phone cable wire.

On January 22nd at approximately 11:00 am MCSO Deputy Gonzalez responded to the 40000 Block of FM 149 in reference to a Theft.  Upon arrival Deputy Gonzalez made contact with the Complainant who advised she had been driving south on FM 149 and observed a female subject walking south towards the Exxon Station with a small gas can and her thumb in the air.  The Complainant advised she drove to the gas station and went in to pay for $5.00 of gas.  The Complainant stated that later she observed her purse had all the zippers open and her wallet was missing.

District 5 – Lt. Don Lacy   (Northwest County)

January 28, 2010 at 8:25 AM Deputy Wiesepape responded to the 3800 block of Northshore Dr in regards to Burglary of a Vehicle. The Complainant reported that sometime during the night someone entered into two of his vehicles and stole several electronic items. The value of the stolen property is estimated to be in excess of $1200. The case is under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division.

January 28, 2010 at 1:15 PM Deputy Garlock responded to the 18700 block of Rosalea Way for a report of Criminal Mischief. The Complainant reported that sometime during the night someone intentionally damaged the paint surface on his vehicle. The damage is estimated to be in excess of $1400. This case is currently under investigation by the Patrol Division.

January 28, 2010 at 5:15 PM Cpl. Bruce responded to the 200 block of Capetown in regards to Burglary of a Vehicle. The Complainant stated that during the night someone entered his vehicle and stole electronic equipment along with a handgun. The value of the stolen items is estimated to be in excess of $ 900. This case is under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division.

January 30, 2010 at 7:35 PM Deputy Favorat responded to the 13100 block of SH 105 West in regards to a reported disturbance between a male and female. Investigation revealed that the male Suspect had physically assaulted the female Complainant. The Suspect was also found to be in possession of narcotics and have an outstanding warrant.

The Suspect was arrested for Assault, Possession of a Controlled Substance and an outstanding Warrant for Criminal Mischief. The Suspect was placed into the Montgomery County Jail on numerous bond amounts.

January 31, 2010 at 3:21 AM Cpl. Peckne responded to the 15400 block of SH 105 West for a reported disturbance. Investigation revealed that a female patron at a local establishment was intoxicated and causing a disturbance with other patrons and the management. The Female was arrested for Public Intoxication and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on an undetermined bond.

District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Woodlands)

The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive:

 1/12 – Hispanic Female 19 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (5 items) was valued at $87.95.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident. 

1/12 – Black Female 20 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (6 items) was valued at $63.94.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident. 

1/12 – White Female 18 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (10 items) was valued at $142.90.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident. 

1/23 – Black Female 23 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (5 items) was valued at $125.00.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident. 

1/27 – White Male 15 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (3 items) was valued at $144.00.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Facility without incident.  During the same instance White Male 16 yrs old put on a pair of jeans under his jeans and attempted to leave the store without paying. The recovered merchandise was valued at $48.00.  He received a citation for Theft and was released to his parents.

1/29 – Black Male 21 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (2 items) was valued at $223.00.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident. 

1/29 – Hispanic Male 20 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (1 item) was valued at $125.00.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident. 

1/29 – Black Female 19 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (2 items) was valued at $66.00.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident. 

The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 3040 College Park Drive:

1/23     – White Female 17 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (14 items) was valued at $82.62  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident. 

– White Male 17 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (12 items) was valued at $103.17.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.

– White Male 21 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (1 item) was valued at $4.22 and the suspect was given a citation.  When being taken to the Loss Prevention Office the suspect threw a small plastic bag under a trash can.  The bag was recovered and found to have 3.6 grams of Xanax. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

– White Male 16 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (2 items) was valued at $2.66 and the suspect was given a citation and released to his mother.

1/24     – 2 White Females 24 yrs old and White Male 15 yrs old selected several items and placed sticker bar codes over the original bar codes before proceeding to the check out counter.  All three suspects made the purchase of the items for $65.77.  Actual cost of the items with the switched bar codes was $568.90.  The juvenile suspect was taken into custody for Theft and transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Facility.  The two female suspects were taken into custody for theft and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. During the booking process, it was found that one of the females had given deputies a fictitious name and date of birth.  Charges were added for Failure to ID.

1/24 – White Male 20 yrs old – The recovered merchandise (9 items) was valued at $91.73.  The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident. 

The following additional arrests were made:

1/21 – White Male 24 – was arrested for Public Intoxication at 25 Water Way Ave after officers received a call that a subject was highly intoxicated and refusing cab. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

1/26 – White Male 18 yrs old – was arrested for Possession of Marijuana after a Dep. Evans and Dep. Uber conducted a traffic stop on Rushaven at S. Rushwing.  The suspect was found to be in possession of .04 ounces of marijuana. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

1/27 – White Male 17 yrs old – was arrested for Possession of Marijuana after Dep. Ward responded to a suspicious vehicle call on Mirror Ridge Circle.  After meeting with the complainant, the vehicle was located at 10860 Kuykendahl.  During the course of the investigation the passenger was found to be in possession of .03 ounces of marijuana. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

1/28 – White Male 19 yrs old – was arrested for Possession of Marijuana after Dep. Conklin responded to a trespasser in progress call at 1505 Lake Robbins. During the course of the investigation, the suspect showed Dep. Conklin that he had a bag containing .152 ounces of marijuana in the glove box of his car.  The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
