MCSO Investigating “Road Rage” Shooting in South County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- Around 12:30 p.m. today, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office District 2 Deputies responded to a shooting in the 500 block of Sawdust Road near or at Budde Road. The MCSO says the shooting appears to be the result of a road rage incident, involving a man firing multiple shots into another man’s vehicle.

The MCSO issued the following information via Facebook “media realease”:
“One of the individuals involved sustained a grazing wound to his ear and was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Deputies have located all parties involved, and they are fully cooperating with the investigation. This is an isolated incident involving only the two males and no additional suspects or victims are being sought.
Detectives are currently conducting interviews with those involved, as well as witnesses, and are canvassing the area for any video surveillance that may assist in the investigation. The investigation remains active, and the names of those involved will not be released at this time.”
Note: The incident was initially reported as a drive-by shooting because that’s the information Dispatched transmitted to first-responders, based on 911 calls.
