mcso makes arrests in multiple burglaries

For Immediate Release

November 29, 2011, uniformed patrol deputies and burglary detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office went to a residence on Keenan Cutoff Road near FM 2854. Property believed stolen from several home burglaries was seized during a search of the home.

Property seized includes rifles, shotguns, televisions, computer equipment, portable generator, musical instruments, hunting equipment, power tools and a home safe. An estimated value of the property is believed to exceed $20,000 and may increase as the investigation continues.

At least five residential burglaries in the nearby area have been linked to the property and investigators believe additional crimes may be solved as the investigation and examination of property moves forward.

When deputies approached the home two suspects fled on foot from the residence but were captured quickly by deputies and detectives. Both suspects were arrested and charged with evading arrest and felon in possession of a firearm.

Arrested: Xavier Taylor B/M 23 YOA

William Shepherd B/M 24 YOA

Additional arrests and charges are anticipated.
