Montgomery County Residents — please be aware that the post circulating online about a so-called “dangerous man on the run” in our area is completely FALSE.

This fabricated story and photo have been making the rounds on social media for over a year, popping up in various cities and groups across the country. It is often shared by troll accounts or well-meaning individuals who don’t realize it’s a hoax.

As you can see from the screenshots, this image and story have been recycled under different names and locations. There is no credible threat or confirmed incident related to this person in Montgomery County.

If you see this post — do NOT share it. Instead:

1. Report it to the platform.

2. Let others know it’s fake.
