MCSO Seeks Help in Assault Investigation

On Wednesday, at approximately 8 a.m., Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies responded to the 27000 block of Peach Drive, in New Caney, in reference to an assault. When Deputies arrived on location, they discovered an individual laying in his front yard with what appeared to be severe injuries about his head and body. The subject was unconscious and was transported to a local hospital. Deputies on location discovered indicators that a struggle occurred at the location.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Units responded to the location. The male that was transported to the hospital has been identified as 52 year old Randy Allen Wetch of New Caney. The victim has been listed as in, “critical condition”, at the hospital. An investigation is on-going and investigators are in the process of reviewing evidence.
