District 1 – Lt. Kevin Ray (North County)
On 2/29/2016, Deputy Martin was dispatched to a disturbance call in the 18900 block of FM 1484. Upon meeting with the female complainant, Deputy Martin learned that the male suspect had slapped the female in the face when she attempted to call 911. The male bent her fingers back and took the phone from her. The male was arrested for assault and interference with an emergency call.
On 3/1/2016, Deputy Cross was dispatched to a disturbance call in the 12600 block of Roy Harris Loop. After the investigation, it was learned that a female resident was attempting to take a male to the hospital while the male’s sister was calling for emergency services. The female driving the vehicle got out of the vehicle and punched the sister. The sister was attempting to provide the license number to emergency services, when the other female attempted to back the vehicle into her. The male’s brother pushed the sister out of the way of the moving vehicle. The brother was struck by the vehicle causing a mark on his arm. The female driver was arrested for assault.
On 3/1/2016, Deputy Ford was dispatched to assist the fire department in the 15200 block of Dogwood Lane, in Conroe. Upon arrival, Deputy Ford met with a male who advised the owner of the property was in jail and he had stopped by to feed her animals. Deputy Ford noticed a female inside a mobile home on the property who was not the owner. Deputy Ford noticed many no trespassing signs throughout the property. The mother of the female owner arrived on scene and advised no one had permission to be on the property. When Deputy Ford tried to make contact with the female in the mobile home, she would not respond and the male had disappeared. After numerous attempts to have the female come to the door, entry was made into the home with permission from the mother of the property owner. The female was located and gave a fictitious name when asked for her identity. The female was known to the mother of the property owner and she identified the female by her correct name. The female advised she had given a fictitious name because she believed she had warrants. The female was arrested for fail to identify.
On 3/3/2016, Deputy Lamphier was dispatched to the 200 block of Kellyn Court. Prior to arriving, Deputy Lamphier was advised the female complainant had left the location and was in route to the District 1 patrol office. The female advised she and her boyfriend had been verbally arguing the last few days and he had threatened to kill her while wielding a knife. The male had also knocked the phone out of her hand causing damage to it. She was able to record portions of the argument where threats had been made on her new cell phone. Once meeting with the male, the male suspect denied making any threats to kill the female. The male suspect was transported to the hospital to check for possible injuries. Once the male was released from the hospital, he was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and charged with assault.
On 3/3/2016, while conducting a routine traffic stop, Deputy Soroko noticed a vehicle screeching his tires in an attempt to slow down after seeing the deputy’s vehicle. The vehicle was witnessed failing to stop for the red light at the intersection of FM 3083 and Highway 75. After stopping the vehicle on traffic, Deputy Soroko noticed a heavy distinct odor of marijuana. Deputy Soroko identified the driver, found he had an active warrant and arrested him on that warrant. While doing an inventory of the vehicle, Deputy Soroko located marijuana throughout the vehicle including 2 bags weighing 0.8 oz. An additional charge of possession of marijuana was added and the male was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
On 3/4/2016, Deputy Ford was dispatched to the 17500 blocks of Spanish Oak Drive, in Conroe, on a disturbance call. Upon arrival, Deputy Ford met with a 20 year old male stating he was upset because his stomach hurt and nobody would take him to the store to get medicine. Deputy Ford spoke to a 15 year old male complainant who advised that his brother had choked him two separate times and struck him in the chin and mouth with his fist. The male suspect was arrested for assault and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
On 3/5/2016, Deputy Merlos was dispatched to the 10500 block of White Rock Road, in Conroe, in reference to a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, it was found that a 17 year old male had struck his 10 year old brother numerous times in the head and chest with a closed fist causing him pain. It was found that there was a history of family violence that has not been reported. The 17 year old male was arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
On 3/5/2016, Deputy Campos was on routine patrol on Highway 105 East when he observed a vehicle with an expired registration. Upon making contact with the 20 year old male driver, Deputy Campos noticed an odor of alcohol. After an investigation, the male was arrested for driving while intoxicated and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
