mcso weekly blotter for week ending june 1, 2011

District 1 – Lt. Jim Fleming (North County)

A 19 year old female and a 21 year old male, both from Conroe, were arrested at 11:30pm, May 22, in the 600 block of Crockett Martin Road by Deputy S. Squier. The female had a failure to appear warrant out of Montgomery County JP 4 and the male had four traffic warrants out of Conroe PD. The Deputy was investigating a disturbance. The male and female were transported to jail.

A 41 year old male from Splendora was arrested at 1:09am, May 23, in the area of Hwy 105E and Crockett Martin by Deputy K. Christiansen for a failure to appear warrant out of Conroe and five warrants out of Montgomery County JP3. The Deputy was investigating a suspicious vehicle. The male was taken to jail.

On May 23, Deputy S. Squier was notified of a family violence assault call on Donna Lane. The Deputy met with a female complainant who advised her daughter had hit her in the face with a closed fist and then fled and was hiding in the woods. The female was located and found to be in possession of a controlled substance. The 23 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 2:10am, charged with assault and possession of a controlled substance and taken to jail.

On May 23, Deputy D. Everton stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the 1500 block of FM 1484. Deputy Everton brought his K-9 partner up to the vehicle and the K-9 alerted on the vehicle. A dangerous drug and a controlled substance along with marijuana were discovered in the vehicle. Both the male and female were arrested at 9:01pm. The male was charged with possession of marijuana and the female was charged with possession of a controlled substance and a dangerous drug. Both subjects were taken to jail.

On May 24, Sgt. J. Varnell stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the 1000 block of Shadow Glenn Drive. The male driver was found to be operating the vehicle with an invalid driver’s license and was also found to be wanted on a driving with license invalid warrant. The 22 year old male was arrested at 4:00am and transported to jail.

A 30 year old female from Willis was arrested at 11:30pm, May 24, in the 10900 block of Amblewood by Deputy S. Degner for a possession of a controlled substance motion to revoke warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy had received prior information on the female’s location. The female was taken to jail.

On May 25, Sgt. P. Smith responded to a residence on FM 2432 for a family violence assault. The Deputy met with a 66 year old female who advised her grandson wanted money and she refused. He struck her on the forehead and upper arm. The 20 year old male from Willis was arrested at 2:38pm, charged with injury to the elderly and taken to jail.

A 31 year old female from Cleveland was arrested at 2:40pm, May 28, in the area of I-45 and S. Loop 336 by Deputy K. Albritton for a theft warrant out of San Jacinto County. The female had been stopped on a traffic violation.

A 34 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 4:15pm, May 28, in the 14700 block of Old Humble Pipeline Road by Sgt. E. Ward for a civil contempt failure to appear warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy had received prior information on the wanted person’s location. The female was taken to jail.

On May 28, Deputy S. Squier stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the area of Hwy 105E and California Avenue. The male driver was found to be operating the vehicle with an invalid driver’s license. The 41 year old male from Cleveland was arrested at 10:36pm and transported to jail.

District 2 – Lt. Brady Fitzgerald (South County)

On May 25, 2011, Sr. Sergeant Russell arrested a 22-year-old male for three outstanding warrants after stopping him for a traffic violation on Sawdust Road. After confirming the warrants as valid, the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On May 26, 2011, Sergeant Barber and other deputies were dispatched to the area of Leichester Street. The complainant stated he observed two males burglarizing his neighbor’s vehicle and when he confronted them, one of the suspects hit him in the face. The complainant chased the suspects but was unable to catch them. A short time later one of the suspects was found. At that time, the suspect, 21-year-old male, was taken into custody and charged with Burglary of a Motor Vehicle.

On May 26, 2011, Sr. Sergeant Russell was dispatched to a Family Violence in Progress call on Sweetgum Dr. Upon arrival he met with the complainant who stated that she and her boyfriend returned to the home after attending a concert and began arguing. During the argument the suspect slapped the complainant. The suspect fled into the woods. A short time later the suspect, 48-year-old male, was located, and placed into custody for Evading and Assault Family Violence.

On May 27, 2011, Deputy Rascoe and Sergeant Barber were dispatched to a Welfare Check on Valleywood Dr. While on scene, a highly intoxicated male stumbled up to the officers asking for a ride home. The subject 45-year-old male from Spring, was unable to locate someone to pick him up. He was taken into custody for Public Intoxication and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On May 27, 2011, Deputy Fruge was dispatched to an Assault Family Violence call on Revelwood. The suspect, 34-year-old male from Magnolia, and his girlfriend had an argument that escalated to the suspect grabbing the complainant and pulling her by her hair. A neighbor tried to intervene and the suspect began yelling a cursing at him. The suspect was taken into custody, charged with Assault Family Violence. The suspect was then transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On May 28, 2011, Deputy McKee responded to a suspicious vehicle call on Katy Lee Lane. Upon arrival, he located the vehicle, parked in the middle of the road with the driver, 43-year-old male, sitting in the driver seat with a beer in his hand. The suspect had a heavy odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his breath; red blood shot eyes and was unable to maintain his balance. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On May 28, 2011, Deputy Koonce was dispatched to an apartment complex on Borough Park Drive in reference to a fight. Upon arrival, witnesses identified the suspect, a 33-year-old female from Houston as the person fighting with two males. The suspect had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her breath, slurred speech and was unsteady on her feet. The suspect was taken into custody and charged with Public Intoxication. The suspect was then transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On May 29, 2011, Deputy Wilkerson and Deputy Zavorski were dispatched to the area of Buckminster and Waltham in reference to people screaming. Upon arrival, the suspects, 26-year-old female and 27 year old male, both from Kingwood, were located in the middle of the street screaming and chasing each other. Both admitted to assaulting each other and both were intoxicated. Both suspects were taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct and transported the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe. During the investigation, a 29 year old male from Austin approached Deputy Zavorski stating that he was the designated driver for the two suspects. The male was stumbling, had red bloodshot eyes, and slurred speech. He was also taken into custody and was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

District 3 – Lt. Darrel Conn (East County)

On 5/25/11 Sgt. D. Miller was dispatched to a residence on Trinity Way in reference to a Welfare Concern. Upon his arrival he found a 4 year old wandering around the yard unsupervised. The child’s father came outside of the residence and appeared to be extremely intoxicated. The mother of the child was located passed out. During the investigation both were found to be illegally in possession of Xanex, Soma and Hydrocodone. The 35 year old female and 39 year old male were both arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Child Protective Services responded to the scene and took custody of the child.

On 5/25/11 Deputy Amstutz was travelling on Northpark Dr. and observed a vehicle strike another vehicle. The driver then got out and was observed stumbling when he walked. The driver then got back into the vehicle and drove off. Deputy Amstutz then conducted a traffic stop and found observed signs of intoxication. Field Sobriety tests were administered and the driver was then arrested for DWI. Further checks revealed that his driver’s license was also suspended for a previous DWI. The suspect, a 27 year old male from Kingwood was charged with DWI (2nd) and Driving While License Suspended.

On 5/25/11 Senior Sergeant Altemus was dispatched to the Porter Walmart in reference to a disturbance. There was a shoplifting suspect who was struggling with Loss Prevention Officers. Upon investigation it was learned that a female and the male had stolen $57 worth of merchandise and left the store. The male suspect re-entered the store and returned the merchandise and was then taken into custody. While the officers were on scene, the female returned to the front of the store looking for the male. She was then taken into custody by Sgt. Altemus. The male was found to have a warrant for Probation Violation from San Jacinto County with no bond and also had an active Theft by Check warrant from Montgomery County.

On 5/25/11 K9 Deputy Birch was dispatched to Old Houston Rd. in reference to a welfare concern. Upon the deputy’s arrival he found that the suspect had driving ran off the roadway damaging his tire. The driver had a small child in the vehicle and the driver could not maintain his balance and showed signs of intoxication. The suspect, a 30 year old male from Conroe was arrested and charged with DWI with Child Passenger, a State Jail Felony.

On 5/26/11 Deputy Guion was dispatched to Westgrove Ln. in reference to a Family Violence in progress. Upon arrival the deputy learned that the suspect had slapped the complainant across the face and was highly intoxicated. The suspect, a 40 year old female from Porter was arrested and charged with Assault.

On 5/27/11 Deputy Martinez was dispatched to E. Martin Dr. in reference to a Family Violence. Upon arrival he spoke with the complainant and learned that his ipod was missing and he confronted his 19 year old brother about it. The brother got angry, threatened to kill him and retrieved a gun from the dresser and put it up to his head. The suspect, a 19 year old male from Porter was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault.

On 5/28/11 Deputy Layman responded to David Ln. in reference to a disturbance. Upon his arrival he made contact with one of the parties in the disturbance and found she had 4 active traffic warrants from JP#4 Montgomery County. The suspect, a 29 year old female from New Caney was arrested for the outstanding warrants.

On 5/28/11 Deputy Durrenberger was dispatched to E. Terrace Drive in reference to an assault. The complainant was found to have an active traffic warrant from Pct#3 Montgomery County. The suspect, a 27 year old male from Porter was arrested for the outstanding warrant.

On 5/29/11 Deputy Jackson was dispatched to the 20000 block of W Hammons in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Upon the arrival of officers the vehicle was located and a search of the interior was conducted. A small amount of Marijuana was found in the center console of the vehicle. The suspect, a 19 year old male from New Caney was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.

On 5/29/11 Deputy Amstutz conducted a traffic stop in the 18000 block of FM 1485 for no seat belt. The driver of the vehicle was found to have an active warrant for Theft. The driver, a 35 year old female from New Caney was arrested for the outstanding warrant.

On 5/30/11 Deputy Jackson was dispatched to Spanish Oaks Drive in reference to a disturbance. The deputy found that a husband and wife had been in an argument The wife got a shotgun and discharge it in his direction of her husband without striking him. The suspect, a 41 year old female from New Caney was arrested and charged with Deadly Conduct with a Firearm, a State Jail Felony.

On 5/30/11 Deputy Azwell was dispatched to the Food Fair on Hwy. 59 in reference to a shoplifter call. Upon his arrival he learned that the suspect had stolen $208 worth of merchandise from the store. The suspect, a 60 year old male was arrested and charged with Theft.

On 5/30/11 Deputy Harman was dispatched to the Porter Wal-Mart in reference to a shoplifter call. Upon his arrival he learned that the suspect had stolen $52 worth of merchandise from the store. After being approached by loss prevention the suspect fled in his vehicle and went to Kroger’s and was then apprehended by officers. The suspect, a 27 year old male from Porter was arrested and charged with Theft.

On 5/31/11 Deputy Guion was dispatched to a disturbance in the 22000 block of Ford Rd. Upon his arrival he learned that the suspect had just ripped the door off of a rental home and caused other damage to the trailer totaling approximately $1,150. The suspect, a 25 year old male was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief.

District 4 – Lt. David Park (West County)

On May 29th Deputy Mittag was dispatched to the Park Place subdivision in reference to a Disturbance. Upon arrival Deputy Mittag meet with a women who advised that a 26 male had been yelling and screaming in the street he was going to kill everyone in the neighborhood. Deputy Mittag could detect a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on the suspect’s breath. The subject was taken into custody for Terroristic Threat and placed in the Patrol Car. While being transported to jail, the subject spit on the Deputy. An additional charge of Felony Harassment of a Public Servant was added.

On May 28th Deputy Provenzano responded to the Hunters Retreat subdivision in reference to a Suspicious Person/Disturbance. Before the Deputy could knock on the door of the residence the homeowner opened the door. In plain view on the kitchen table was a Crack pipe and several pieces of Crack Cocaine. The Disturbance had been over two of the subjects feeling they did not get enough Crack for the money they had given the homeowner. All three subjects were taken into custody and charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.

On May 28th Deputy Overbay was dispatched to the 37000 block of Pierce Hill in regards to a Warrant Service. Upon arrival, Deputy Overbay made contact with a 28 year old male subject identified as the individual wanted through Montgomery County for Felony Burglary of a Habitation and Felony Burglary of a Building. Both warrants were confirmed through Dispatch and the subject was placed into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe.

On May 28th Deputy Provenzano was dispatched to the Decker Hills subdivision in reference to a Disturbance. A 44 year old male subject was at a friend’s house drinking when he decided to walk home. Once home, the subject got into an argument with is his stepson. The subject had taken out a pocket knife and threatened to kill his stepson. The subject had left the home and fell into a ditch across the street. The subject was unsteady on his feet and had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his person. Deputy Provenzano placed him into custody for Public Intoxication and Terroristic Threat and transported him to the Montgomery County Jail.

On May 27th Deputy Herman and Deputy Miller saw a person in the parking lot of the Rock Bottom Bar located in Pinehurst. A 49 year old female was standing next to a car trying to get into it and as the Deputies approached the subject began crossing the parking lot towards the bar entrance. The subject refused to provide the deputies identification. The woman was placed into custody for Public Intoxication and transported to female booking in the Montgomery County Jail.

On May 27th Deputy Herman and Deputy Miller observed a vehicle sitting in the parking lot of a church located at FM 149 and FM 1488. A 27 year old female was asleep behind the wheel. After waking up the subject a smell of an alcoholic beverage could be detected from her breath. The subject was placed into custody for Public Intoxication and transported to female booking in the Montgomery County Jail.

On May 26th Deputy Suarez was dispatched to the Thousand Oaks subdivision in reference to a Welfare Concern of a female who had driven her vehicle into a ditch. The Deputy could smell the heavy odor of alcoholic beverage coming from her breath and she had blood shot eyes. The subject was placed into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe.

On May 25th Sergeant Gonzales conducted a traffic stop a 42 year old male subject driving a red Mitsubishi. Upon the Sergeant making contact the driver provided a name and date of birth, but did not have a driver’s license. A check of the name showed that the subject had a “Deported Felon Lookout” from ICE. ICE was contacted and confirmed that the subject had a detainer on him. Sergeant Gonzales placed him into custody for no proof of insurance and no driver’s license. The subject was transported to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe.

District 5 – Lt. Gary Welch (Northwest County)

May 24th Deputy Howze responded to the 5400 block of FM 1486 in regards to Burglary of a Building. The Complainant reported that someone had entered his storage building overnight and stole a golf cart valued at $2500.

May 25th Deputy Thompson was dispatched to the 600 block of Blake Rd. in regards to a Theft. Investigation revealed where someone entered into a fenced storage area and stole several commercial generators valued in excess of $16000.

May 25th Deputy Davis responded to S. Park Dr. in regards to an Assault. Investigation revealed where two adult males, brothers, had become engaged in a physical altercation at which time one male assaulted the other by use of a stun gun. This subject was arrested and placed into the Montgomery County Jail.

May 26th Deputy Davis responded to a residence on Papoose Trail in regards to an Assault. Investigation revealed where a male and female were involved in a physical altercation where the female was assaulted. During the investigation it was discovered that the male was in possession of marijuana. The male was arrested for Assault (Family Violence) and Possession of Marijuana and placed into the Montgomery County Jail.

District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Woodlands)

On May 26, 2011, Deputy Conklin was notified by a Valet that two intoxicated females were heading towards the parking garage to leave and had refused the offer for cab. One of the two females allowed deputies to call her a cab. The other suspect repeatedly tried to leave the scene and at one point tried driving off. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail, and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On May 26, 2011, Deputy Prince was dispatched to an attempt to locate a reckless driver. The witness stated he was following a vehicle and witnessed it strike the center concrete dividing wall after crossing several lanes on the freeway. The suspect then exited the freeway and ran the red light at Rayford Road before pulling into a parking lot and driving over several concrete medians before stopping his vehicle in parking lot. Deputy Prince noticed the suspect to have a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. The 32-year-old male from Spring was taken into custody for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

5/25 – Deputy Clifton responded to a 9-1-1 hang up call on Fire Flicker. Upon arrival, Deputy Clifton met with all parties on scene and determined that an argument had taken place. The suspect had a strong odor of alcohol emitting from her breath and the suspect was placed into custody for Public Intoxication and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

5/22 – Deputy Conklin while working foot patrol observed a male stagger into the middle of the road and hold up his arms as if directing traffic. Deputy Conklin escorted him back to the sidewalk. The suspect, 49-year-old male from The Woodlands, had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath, red glassy blood shot eyes, slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail, charged with Public Intoxication.

Shoplifting Arrest(s):

5/22 – Deputy Clifton arrested a 22 year old female from The Woodlands for Theft at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive. The suspect attempted to take $230 worth of merchandise from Macy’s. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

5/23 – Deputy Weatherford arrested a 17 year old female from Spring for Theft at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive. The suspect attempted to take $129.97 worth of merchandise from Macy’s. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

5/27 – Deputy Weatherford arrested an 18 year old male from The Woodlands for Theft at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive. The suspect attempted to take $60 worth of merchandise from J.C. Penney’s. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

5/21 – Deputy Weatherford arrested two 18-year-old females from Spring for Theft at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive. The suspects attempted to take $1428.20 worth of clothing from Macy’s. The suspects were transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

Warrant Arrest(s):

5/23 – Deputy Drake arrested a 26-year-old male from Conroe after conducting a check of a local park. The suspect was located in the park after closing time and a check of his driver’s license found four outstanding warrants. The Suspect was taken into custody and taken to the Montgomery County Jail.

5/25 – Deputy Cantu arrested a 34 year old male from Spring after being dispatched to a Warrant Service at the South County Probation Office. The suspect was arrested on a Motion to Revoke Probation and then transported to the South County Jail Annex.

5/25 – Deputy Roberts arrested a 34 year old male from Spring after being dispatched to a Warrant Service at the South County Probation Office. The suspect was arrested on a Motion to Revoke Probation and then transported to the South County Jail Annex.

5/26 – Deputy Harrison responded to a Disturbance in progress on Montfair Blvd and after running a check on the parties involved, found that a 42-year-old female suspect had an outstanding warrant for Family Violence. She was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe.
