On June 29, 2019, at about 11:15 AM, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to J&R Ace Hardware located at 23678 FM 1314, Porter, TX in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, Deputies met with the owner who advised that she was working at the gift shop located in J&R Ace Hardware. As the owner approached one of the tables where the jewelry stand sits, she noticed one of the brass and silver rings was missing off of the ring stand. The owner stated she immediately asked the employees working in the gift shop if a ring had been sold, to which they stated no jewelry has been sold. The owner then reviewed video surveillance, which showed an unknown white female wearing a white tank top take the ring off the display and place it on her finger.
