All outdoor burning is prohibited year round in Montgomery County unless it meets one of the narrow exceptions found in State law.
Montgomery County has a unique State Law that prohibits the burning of trash or refuse in subdivisions or on less than 5 acres.
Other counties don’t have that year-round prohibition. They must enact a burn ban under a different set of regulations to stop outdoor burning.
