METH LAB TAKEN DOWN

Based on intelligence received during a narcotics investigation, the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Tactical Unit went to a residence in the 100 Block of Lucas Street in the Lake Run-a-muck Subdivision of Shepherd Texas.
Upon arrival, the Deputies made contact with the owner of the residence/property and requested permission to search her property for a reported meth lab. After receiving written permission, the Deputies searched the property and discovered a large meth lab operation in a side garage type building adjacent to the home. The Deputies recovered approximately 1 pound of methamphetamine and a lab for manufacturing the illegal narcotic. Along with the narcotics the Deputies located the “cooks” at the lab. The male and female were taken into custody.
The Texas Department of Public Safety – Methamphetamine Initiative Group was called to the scene to safely dismantle the laboratory and collect the evidence.
While awaiting the MIG Team arrival, a male called the cell phone of one of the suspects in this case and requested to purchase some meth. The Deputy told him to come on down. About 4 minutes later a male showed up in a pick up truck. The male was found in possession of additional methamphetamine and marijuana. He was also taken into custody.
