MIB RECOVER STOLEN SKID-STEER AND STOLEN MOTORCYCLE

Just before 10 pm Thursday Montgomery County Precinct 4 Deputies got a GPS hit on a stolen Bobcat Tractor in the Grangerland area. As they approached the area on Charles Ray Drive off Southern crossing a Yamaha motorcycle was leaving. As soon as the driver saw the patrol units he accelerated and fled down Gulf Coast Road toward FM 1314.  Units lost him for a minute when the motorcycle went up FM 1314. Moments later a security officer in the oilfields spotted a Yamaha motorcycle travel down a dirt road near Koalstad Road. The driver attempted to open the locked gate and spotted the security officer coming down the road. He immediately tried to come back out but in doing so struck the left front of the officer’s vehicle and slid under a trailer that was parked on the side of the road. The driver fled on foot. The bike was stolen almost a month ago in Conroe. Deputies then returned to the Charles Ray Drive location and were able to track the Bobcat tractor to a barn on the back of the property covered with a tarp. Due to several homes on the property, the investigation will be turned over to detectives to determine who stole the bobcat. Range 3 Wrecker Service towed the Bobcat from the scene. The Bobcat had been stolen off FM 1485 on Monday with a truck and a 16-foot trailer. The truck, even though damaged was recovered the day after. The trailer is still missing.  The motorcycle was also recovered. The driver who was identified was not captured.
