There has been a mid-air collision between two aircraft off FM 1375 just north of Lake Conroe. Walker County Sheriff’s Department is on the scene as is DPS. FIrefighters are fighting a small forest fire caused by one of the aircraft and are awaiting dozers to arrive to cut a fire line. At this point there is one person dead and one injured who walked away from his his plane. Both aircraft are several miles out in the woods. These aircraft practice every weekend on the north side of Lake Conroe.
