MISDEMEANOR THEFT OF BEER

On Tuesday evening, August 9th, at approximately 7:45 pm, Liberty County Sheriff’s Deputy Bruce Sims responded to a theft call at the Dollar General store located on FM 787 in the Romayor area of north Liberty County. According to the deputy, a white male, believed to be 19-20 years of age, approx. 5′-6″ tall and 120-130 lbs entered the store and went to the cooler section where he picked up a six pack of beer and fled the store where several other unknown white males and a white female were waiting in a dark blue 1992 Toyota “Camry”, 4 dr. vehicle.

Deputy Sims recovered footage from the store’s security camera which picked up a photo of the suspect and the black shirt he was wearing with white markings on it. Dep. Sims feels the vehicle may be from the Liberty County area and he is following up on a possible license number of the automobile. The deputy is asking the public’s help in identifying the security photo of the suspect entering and leaving the store. Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect is ask to call the Sheriff’s Office at (936) 336-4500 and provide the information.
