The two boys missing from Harris County have been found in Montgomery County safe. On Saturday the boys mother grounded them for being outside late he night before. Later when she looked in their room they were gone. After looking several hours she called the Harris County Sheriff’s Office just before midnight.
Throughout the day Sunday Equusearch, DPS helicopters and law enforcement officers searched the area just south of the Woodlands.
Officials also attempted to locate a 24-year-old male who lived close by and had become friends with the boys. He went missing about the same time.
About 5 p.m. Sunday evening detectives located the man who led them to a place in the woods the boys were staying. He explained to detectives that the boys came to him and were wanting to run away. That’s when he decided to take it upon himself and show the boys what it was like to live in the woods like Hobos.
The case will be presented to the Harris County Grand Jury to determine if the man can be charged with helping the boys run away and for abandoning them in the woods overnight.
