MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- A search is underway in the area of Austin Elementary School on Hwy 105 E. for a missing elderly man whose car was found in the school’s driveway on Friday morning. The black Honda Accord is registered to 77-year-old Bobby Ralph Rollerson, of Garland. It initially appeared to simply be an abandoned vehicle, and tow truck was called. The vehicle was cold when found, with no indication of where Rollerson may have headed after leaving the car. Investigators say Rollerson may have walked away in the Hwy 105 / Willis Waukegan area near Cut and Shoot.
The Garland Police Department issued a statement Thursday asking for the public’s help in finding Rollerson, who was believed to have left home around 7:30 a.m. that morning, and was later spotted traveling in Houston by a plate reading traffic camera. They also mentioned Rollerson is known to have seizures, but didn’t state whether he takes daily medication and may now be without it or whether there are other known issues that could play a role his sudden disappearance.
Rollerson is a black male, around 5 feet 8 inches, with brown eyes, and is bald. When last seen, he was wearing a gray crewneck sweatshirt and gray pants. He often wears a beanie.
