HARRIS COUNTY, TX- Just after midnight on Valentine’s Day, Deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a report of a small child locked outside of a residence in the 5800 block of Fallengate Drive.

Deputies arrived and conducted an investigation that showed 43-year-old Jennifer Mann locked her 4-year-old child outside when the temperature was 43 degrees, wearing only her pajamas. Mann allegedly refused to let the child back inside the residence and witnesses said the child was banging on the door and saying she was cold. Neighbors told Deputies they witnessed the child locked outside on multiple occasions.

The little girl was transported to a local children’s hospital as a precaution, and Child Protection Services was contacted and given all of the information.

“Jennifer Mann was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Child Endangerment. Her bond and court information have not been set at this time,” Constable Mark Herman said.
