This morning little 2-year-old Preston was in bed with his mom. She had gotten up to feed another child then went back and cuddled in bed with Preston. Within minutes he slipped out of the room and away from his home. His mother immediately started searching for the house and when she couldn’t find him she noticed the latch on the door unlatched started looking outside. Within a few minutes, he was found in an above ground pool just a few houses down. CPR was started immediately and continued by Caney Creek Fire Department when they arrived and by MCHD. CPR continued to a point the child was breathing on his own and had a pulse. He was transported to Texas Children’s Hospital where he remains in critical condition. Please keep this family in your prayers. It is so easy for a child to just slip away. Please also if you have a pool make sure ladders are not in it or it is fenced. A fundraiser has been started for the family.
FROM PRESTONS MOTHER:
We played some blippi for him and he started trying to breathe on his own. we had to step out to talk to ppl and came back and they said they gave him meds to relax his lungs so he wasn’t straining himself. We put his blippi back on and was loving him and he started trying to breathe on his own again. He knows we’re here.
Thank you so much for your help!
TUESDAY UPDATE:
Little Preston is breathing on his own, he is responding to pinches and has opened his eyes. Please pray for his continued improvement.
