Montgomery County Precinct 2 Constables Animal Cruelty Unit was alerted by a neighbor in Cut and Shoot of a home with dog carcasses in cages. On Tuesday afternoon a search warrant was executed by Constables. After searching the property they collected evidence of which is believed to be skeletal remains of dogs. A neighbor went to contact the resident over the weekend after a dog got loose from the home. That was when she discovered the cages in the front yard with dog remains. She also stated there were cages in the garage which were stacked and one dog had actually gotten on top of the cages and scratched a hole through the roof and was on the roof. The resident was not home but investigators are looking for her for questioning.

Texas sorely needs laws for spay and neutering all pets, with fees and licenses for those who wish to breed dogs and cats. Unfortunately our governor won’t step up and do this since lobbyists with the AKC lines his pockets. Stray and unwanted dogs and cats will die miserable deaths or be euthanized en masse in shelters until we get better representation.
