MCAS Intakes & Daily Stats – 10.31.14 – 56 pets in, 76 pets out
11/1/2014
Halloween ended up being a great day at the shelter – with 76 pets getting the special treat of a new home. Unfortunately, 56 came in – which might not be such a treat. Still, we try to save all of the pets who walk into our doors so they will have a chance of being treated to a new home.
Additionally, if you’re paying attention to our intakes, you’ll see several cats “returned” – however, look closer and you’ll see all of them have been altered thanks to a visit at Texas A&M University vet school. Taz (A239209) was one of the lucky girls who was transported to A&M and spayed by aspiring vet students. We thank the A&M vet students for volunteering their services – plus, the students got the opportunity to, under the careful supervision of their professors, sharpen up on their spay/neuter skills. It was a win-win!
MCAS is located at 8535 Hwy 242 in Conroe, Texas and is open 7 days a week. Dogs and cats can be adopted for $80 while dogs and cats who have been at the shelter over 60 days are available for $25. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, shots and more.
