  • Diana McGrath was named Montgomery County Employee of the Month for November. McGrath is a paralegal in the office of County Attorney J.D. Lambright. The nomination committee received multiple letters praising McGrath, including one from the County Attorney, another from Senior Juvenile Prosecutor Marc Brumberger, and yet another from Natalie Laurent, the County Attorney’s Administrative Manager.

Lambright praised McGrath’s work ethic, intelligence and attitude. “She always has a bright, cheerful attitude no matter how much work comes her way, and believe me an awful lot of work comes her way,” Lambright wrote. Diana is one of those individuals that makes the entire team better,” Lambright wrote.

He called the amount of work McGrath completes each day “truly incredible,” and said she is highly regarded within the family law community throughout our county.”

Bumberger’s letter detailed how McGrath played an integral role in the Juvenile Division of the County Attorney’s Office last winter during a “significant turnover in employees over a relatively short period of time.” The turnover left his part of the office seriously understaffed with him in the midst of a complex and demanding case.

He further praised McGrath for being a fast learner, who need “very little guidance” and only had to be told something once.
“It’s hard to express just how impressed I was with Diana’s dedication and determination in learning the job,” Brumberger wrote.

Like Lambright, Brumberger commented on McGrath’s “terrific disposition,” saying she is “always positive and upbeat.”

Laurent wrote she was unable to “put into words how valuable” McGrath is to the County Attorney’s Office. She said Lambright had “raved about how incredible his paralegal was,” but she had no idea he was not exaggerating until working with McGrath.

“I have never seen a woman take her job so seriously and put so much time and effort into everything that she does,” Laurent wrote.

She further stated the CPS legal department is now “running more efficiently than ever,” which she attributes to McGrath’s attention to detail and organization.

She too praised McGrath’s overall attitude toward work and toward her coworkers, calling her “the glue that holds her CPS team together.”

    Congratulations, Diana!
