MONTGOMERY COUNTY FIREFIGHTERS ASSIGNED TO THE WOOLSEY FIRE

The deployed Porter firefighters have been assigned to the Woolsey Fire in the Los Angeles area, and will be working as part of the TIFMAS Strike Team #4. CBS News is reporting that the Woolsey Fire has consumed 98,362 acres, 435 structures, and another 57,000 structures remain threatened. They also report that the fire is 52% contained and is to blame for 3 confirmed fatalities at the time of the article being written.

Today’s assignment began earlier this morning, where they began working a 24 hour shift on the fire line.
