At 5 am Montgomery County remains in the cone of Beryl. Being on the east side (dirty side) expect heavy rains starting Monday. At present the storm appears to be making landfall in the Matagorda/Palacios areas at about 1 am on Monday.. Then move north at about 12mph. At 4 am winds were at 60mph, Tropical Storm rated however it is due to intensify. over the next few hours as it clears an area of wind shear and dry air.

Scott Engle and Jamie Nash are Montgomery County residents and veteran law enforcement / breaking news reporters, who met covering a law enforcement story and have covered multiple counties, with Scott as a television videographer for multiple local stations and national networks, and Jamie as newspaper / magazine / online reporter.
