MONTGOMERY COUNTY OFFICIALS UPDATE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK

MONTGOMERY COUNTY – Montgomery County Public Health District, in conjunction with Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, can confirm the number of ACTIVE cases of COVID-19 has decreased to 458 today. That number includes 28 hospitalizations. 549 people have fully recovered. The number of total positive cases has increased 23 since yesterday to 1,033.

The MCHD/MCPHD COVID-19 Call Center is open for residents needing COVID-19 testing through our voucher program, or for general questions, Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm. Please call 936-523-5040. Beginning Monday, June 8th, the Call Center hours will change to Monday-Friday 8:00 am-3:30 pm.

One of our partners in the voucher program, America’s ER, will move its drive-thru testing site beginning Friday to its standing ER location on FM 2978 at Research Forest in Magnolia. Starting Friday, you must make an appointment at this site before obtaining a test. For the remainder of Wednesday and Thursday, you can still obtain a test at WoodsEdge Church after calling the Call Center to obtain a voucher. For more information, call 936-523-5040.
