Montgomery County Pct 4 Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden reports the following events for the dates of September 14 – 21, 2010:

Montgomery County Constable Pct. 4 Deputies served 31 civil papers, 7 evictions and 1 writ throughout East Montgomery County. Numerous suspects were arrested, clearing 20 JP4 warrants and 2 Montgomery County warrants.

No Driver’s License, No Insurance, No Way!

9 vehicles were towed in East Montgomery County last week because drivers had no license and/or no insurance, 2 were towed because the drivers were arrested and 1 was towed because it was stolen.

In plain sight

A routine traffic stop in the 22000 block of Ford Rd. around 11:15 p.m. on Sept. 18 resulted in a pair of first-degree felony drug arrests. Cpl. A. Looza stopped an Infiniti sedan and noticed there was marijuana residue and a glass smoking pipe in plain view inside the vehicle. Cpl. Looza called for assistance from Deputy J. Bergland and they interviewed the vehicle’s occupants, who had conflicting stories. The driver/owner of the vehicle, 23-year-old Paul Westin Sarvadi, gave consent to search the vehicle where deputies found over a half gram of marijuana, a small digital scale and a plastic bag containing 50 Ecstasy tablets. Adrian Guerra, 24, of Weslaco, and Paul Westin Sarvadi, 23, of Porter are charged with first-degree felony Manufacture / Delivery / Possession of a Controlled Substance.

 Barker,VernonRay Around 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 16, Cpl. A. Looza stopped a 2004 Nissan sedan in the 20,000 block of FM 1485 because the vehicle’s registration was expired and the license plate light was out, but he wound up arresting the driver, 48-year-old Vernon Ray Barker Jr., of Conroe. Barker had a strong smell of alcohol and exhibited other signs of intoxication. He failed the standard field sobriety test and is charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

Don’t sleep it off in a ditch

Windham,LarryDwayne Larry Dwayne Windham, 38, of New Caney was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication around 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 15, after someone reported seeing him passed out in a ditch, then stumbling down the road in the 17850 block of Crystalwood Ct. When Deputy C. Turrentine arrived, Windham was unable to tell the deputy where he lives. Windham exhibited multiple other signs of intoxication, and admitted drinking alcohol earlier.
