MONTGOMERY COUNTY PRECINCT 1 CONSTABLES HELP PUT SEX OFFENDER AWAY

In October of 2021, a Detective with the Precinct 1 Constable’s Office assigned to the Montgomery County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force began an investigation into an individual who was promoting child pornography. During the investigation, the individual, later identified as Mr. Darrell Lang, met with detectives in Montgomery County at which point he was arrested. Later in the same evening, Montgomery County ICAC conducted a search warrant on Lang’s home where they located evidence of two live victims whom Lang was sexually assaulting for numerous years in Liberty County.
Yesterday, Lang plead guilty in the 9th District Court for the promotion of child pornography. This plead carries a 40-year sentence in the Texas Department of Corrections. Additionally, the Precinct 1 Detective filed charges in Liberty County for continuous sexual assault of a child. Lang will now be transported to Liberty County where he will face those charges. The additional charges could result in Mr. Lang being sentenced to life in prison.
The mother of the children Mr. Lang was sexually assaulting has also been arrested by the ICAC Taskforce with the assistance of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. Those charges were filed in the courts within Harris County.
Constable Philip Cash, would like to congratulate the men and women of the ICAC Task Force for another job well done. Keeping our children safe is a top priority for not only Constable Cash, but also all elected officials who assign personnel to the ICAC Task Force.
