On Thursday, September 12, 2013 Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constables Office executed a search warrant in the 500 Block of Shenandoah Drive.
Deputies, through investigation determined someone at that residence had been downloading a large amount of child porn. .
On execution of the search warrant Kevin Jay Cook was found to be actively engaging in both downloading and uploading child pornography.
Cook was placed in the Montgomery County Jail charged with two counts of Promotion of Child Pornography, a second degree felony and two counts of possession of child pornography, a third degree felony.
Precinct 3 Constables were assisted by Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constables Office and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.
After talking with Cook he admitted to the deputies that he was indeed uploading and downloading child porn.
Precinct 3 Constable Ryan Gable said, “ as an agency we have ran several of these types of search warrants. It is not often that the suspect is actually performing the illegal act at the time we run the arrest warrant. This fact will no doubt strengthen our case even more.”
Perhaps child pornography is what I need. It’s put a big Colgate smile on Kevin’s face so maybe it’s the prescription to get me out of the cantankerous and crotchety mood I’ve been in lately. Bet it’s a lot like drinking straight whiskey or scotch… once you get past the ick factor and suppress the gag reflex is all smooth sailing from there. And, if not arrested, no lingering hangover.
That mugshot doesnt exactly tone down the whole “hi, I’m a child molester” vibe a bit! Another sicko off the streets:)

Unless he said, “Kidding!” right after that admission, the active downloading would seem pretty much superfluous. Still, expect him out in two years and working as an elementary school crossing guard upon release.
