Montgomery County Constable Pct. 4 Deputies served 14 evictions and 4 writs throughout East Montgomery County. Numerous suspects were arrested, clearing 34 JP4 warrants, 4 Montgomery County warrants, 1 blue warrant (parole revocation), 3 Harris County warrants, and 1 San Jacinto County warrant.
No Driver’s License, No Insurance, No Way!
27 vehicles were towed in East Montgomery County because 14 drivers had no license and/or no insurance, 6 drivers were arrested, 6 drivers were arrested and had no license or insurance and 1 stolen vehicle was towed after it was found burned near the Loop 494 turnaround and Hwy 59.

Another home business closes
Around 10:30 p.m. on August 2, Deputy C. Turrentine and other Pct. 4 deputies went to a house in the 23600 block of Tejas Drive in Porter to serve a blue warrant (parole revocation) on Michael S. Ward. While inside the residence, Deputy Turrentine saw what he recognized as elements of a methamphetamine lab in the bathroom used by 40-year-old Brian Carnahan. Ward, Carnahan and an adult female were removed from the residence and the Texas Department of Public Safety Methamphetamine Initiative Group (MIG) was requested and responded to the scene. Liquid found inside the residence field tested positive for methamphetamine. Carnahan, 40, is charged with manufacture of a controlled substance (first-degree felony) and Gayla Paulette Gorman, 40, is charged with possession of a controlled substance (second-degree felony).
Making money
On the afternoon of July 30, Deputy E. Rivera, Lt. M. Seals and Constable Hayden acted on a credible tip regarding counterfeit currency at a residence in the 16700 block of FM 1485. When Lt. Seals knocked on the front door of the residence, they saw two men run from the back of the house into a nearby wooded area. Lt. Seals caught one of the men, 25-year-old Joshua Robert Callaway of Conroe, who had multiple active Precinct 4 warrants and a Harris County warrant. Callaway was also charged with evading on foot. Deputy Rivera arrested 45-year-old Robert Wayne Davis, who is charged with forgery of a financial instrument (third-degree felony). The third suspect, Justin Wayne Gulley, 24, escaped capture. Warrants have been issued for his arrest for forgery of a financial instrument and evading arrest.
Contemptible behavior
Four people were arrested last week in the courtroom of Pct. 4 Justice of the Peace James Metts, for “indirect contempt.” Jerry Lynn McGavitt, 18, of New Caney; David James Brown, 17 of Grangerland; Lesley Abarca, 17, of Porter and 17-year-old April Desiree Lott of New Caney were jailed after they failed to comply with court orders.
