On March 23, 2025, Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constables attempted to make a traffic stop on a 2025 White Mercedes GLE traveling South on the 249 Toll Road after an attempt to locate had been put out by dispatch. Precinct 5 Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle near the Harris County line and it failed to stop initiating a pursuit that lead deep into Harris County at dangerous speeds reaching over 130 miles per hour. The Mercedes eventually ran through a wooden residential fence in the 18000 block of Emery Meadows Ln. and drove completely through the yard of the residence exiting out onto the adjacent roadway and finally coming to a stop in the 11400 block of Lakewood Cove. Two occupants fled the Mercedes carrying bags and began jumping over fences as they crossed properties in the subdivision. PCT 5 Deputies pursued on foot with the assistance of Harris County Constable Precinct 4 and took both suspects into custody. The suspects were identified as Zachary Savant (1/28/89) and Tiffany Davis (10/21/97) both out of Plantersville, Texas. Savant and Davis were in possession of 25 Debit/Credit cards, 5 Texas Driver’s Licenses, 1 Texas Identification Card, 3 Social Security Cards, 65 Personal and Company Checks, 6 Bank Statements, and 1 Life Insurance Policy all belonging to someone else and some of the items are believed to be forged or fraudulent. Savant and Davis were both arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Jail for Identity Theft/Fraud, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Evading in a Motor Vehicle and both had active warrants. The investigation is ongoing as PCT 5 Investigators continue to identify victims of Savant and Davis’s crime spree. Constable Chris Jones and the Precinct 5 Constables work directly with the Montgomery County Toll Road Authority provide Deputies to patrol it and keep the 249 Toll Road a safe road to travel. Additionally, all Precinct 5 Deputies will continue to proactively patrol this community to combat criminals committing crimes against our citizens.
