Monday afternoon Montgomery County Precinct 5 Deputies arrested Shade Sabastian Buczek, 26, of 3703 Stillview Drive in Houston. He was arrested in the 28300 block of FM 2978. Buczek was wanted by Harris County for a February 1, 2019, aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. He had previously been arrested by Harris County and put on a $888,888.00 bond. The Harris County District Attorney had requested it be lowered to a $50,000 bond. At the same time, the Public Defender requested a $20,000 bond. The magistrate set the bond at $25,000. His last court appearance was on July 31, 2020, in which the Judge reset the case for September 3, 2020. Buczek never showed up and has been on the run since. During the time he was out on bond, on September 20, 2019, fled from a Precinct 4 Harris County Deputy but was captured. The Judge gave him 3-days in jail. Two of those were as he waited to go to court.
On February 1, 2019, a young man in Houston met two females who called themselves “Shakyria” and “Anaya” on a dating website called Plenty of Fish. The victim and the two females met and hung out for most of the night at an apartment off Cutten Rd. in Harris County, Texas where the victim met a third female that called herself”Mary Jane”. They all agreed they would go with the victim to his apartment in his vehicle. However, Mary Jane told the victim to text her the address and she would meet them there. The victim along with Shakyria and Anaya arrived and entered the apartment located on Barwood Bend in Harris County. Several minutes passed when the victim heard the front door open and then observed a Hispanic male who was pointing a pistol at him had entered the apartment. The Hispanic male was accompanied by “Mary Jane”. The victim told deputies he was told to get on the floor while the Hispanic male walked around the house collecting the victim’s Smith & Wesson 9mm firearm valued at $450, Rock Island 38 caliber firearm valued at $350, jewelry valued at $230, Cellphone valued at $800, $1300 cash, and video games valued at $700. At one point, the Hispanic male kicked the victim in the face causing him and threatened him. During the incident, the victim noticed “Shakyria”, “Anaya” and “Mary Jane” to be acting normal and carrying on a conversation in the next room, leading the victim to believe they had a part in the robbery. The victim was then laid face down on the floor as the three females along with the Hispanic male departed the location with the property. They drove off in the victim a 2013 Cadillac CTS valued at $18,000 was taken during the robbery.
On February 7, 2019, Shakyria A. Adams was developed as a possible suspect in this case after she crashed the victim’s vehicle. She fled on foot. However, her prints were discovered in the vehicle at the time of recovery from the crash. Shakyria A. Adams was placed in a photo array along with five other females of the same physical characteristics. The victim positively identified defendant Adams as one of the females, “Shakyria”, who entered into his residence and left with the Hispanic Male.
Leila Alonso was determined to be “Mary Jane” and was then developed as a possible suspect in this case after a law enforcement database inquiry found she sold three video games three days after the robbery, to a nearby business. These three video games are exact matches of those which were taken during the robbery. Alonso was also placed in a photo array along with five other females and the victim positively identified her.
Joseph Hooser was developed using Harris County Sheriffs Department facial recognition analysis along with cross-referencing a phone number and his identity was confirmed by co-defendant Leila Alonso. Hooser was believed to be who the victim believed was the female named “Anaya”. Hooser was also placed in a photo array along with five other males and was identified by the victim.
Shade Buczek was developed as a suspect by Harris County Sheriffs Department facial recognition analysis and his identity was confirmed by co-defendant Leila Alonso; as she stated that they had been in a previous dating relationship. He too was placed in a photo lineup and identified by the victim.
Adams has never been charged. Alonso was charged with Aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon on July 11, 2019. The case was reset several times and on October 6, 2022, just 12-days ago it was again reset by the Harris County 263rd District Court Judge to November 3, 2022. Joseph Hooser, who was charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon had his case dismissed due to probable cause existing but could not be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
