The Astro’s had not even won yet when the lines at the Conroe Academy Sports and Outdoors started to line up. By the time they won the line was to the end of the building. Once store employees had all the merchandise out they began letting 20 people in at a time and limited quantities to five of each item. Most of the shirts were in the $25 plus range and were selling like hotcakes. The store director said there was plenty of inventory still in the back warehouse. The line continued to grow and by midnight it stretched from the front doors of the store to the shoulder of Loop 336 and was starting to stretch westbound. Conroe Police were on hand as were Precinct 2 Constables. There were no problems reported. According to the store director, the store will remain open until closing time on Thursday night.
