MONTGOMERY COUNTY SHEFIFF’S OFFICE WEEKLY BLOTTER

District 1 – Lt. Jim Fleming (North County)

On July 26, Deputy A. Terrell was dispatched to a burglary of a motor vehicle in progress call in the 13100 block of Skyline Drive. The Deputy met with a male complainant who had witnessed a male suspect entering the complainant’s vehicle. When confronted, the suspect started walking down the street along with another male that may have been a look out. The male suspect was located and detained by Panorama PD officer B. Beavers. Deputy Terrell arrived at officer Beavers’ location and took possession of the suspect. The other suspect had fled the area. The 19 year old male suspect from Willis was arrested at 2:40pm, charged with burglary of a motor vehicle and taken to jail. Charges are pending on the other male.

A 26 year old male from Willis was arrested at 6:06pm, July 27, in the area of FM 1097 and Cude Cemetery Road by Deputies S. Squier and A. Cross, for a criminal trespass warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputies were conducting an investigation of stolen property. The male was transported to jail.

On July 28, Deputy D. Pena was sent to the 12900 block of Lake Conroe Hills in reference to a disturbance in progress. The Deputy located a male, who had been involved in the disturbance, sitting down outside the establishment. The male was detained. The other male was located and also detained. Both had been involved in a fight with each other. The first male, 40 years of age, from Willis was arrested at 2:13am and charged with a theft by check warrant out of Montgomery County. The second male, 29 years of age, from Conroe, through investigation was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine – 4.8 grams) with intent to deliver. Both males were taken to jail.

A 24 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 9:00pm, July 28, in the area of Douget and Whipporwill by Deputy S. Degner for a criminal mischief warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was investigating a disturbance call. The female was taken to jail.

On July 28, Deputies S. Squier and A. Cross were notified of a family violence assault and interference with an emergency call in the 12600 block of Lake Vista Drive. The Deputies met with a female complainant who advised she and her male roommate had been in an argument and that he had threatened her with harm. She called 9-1-1 and was cut off. On the call back the male refused to allow the female to speak with MCSO communications. The 40 year old male from Willis was arrested at 9:32pm and transported to jail.

On July 29, Deputy K. Underwood observed a traffic violation in the 13000 block of Hwy 105E. The Deputy stopped the vehicle and identified the female driver who did not have a driver’s license. During the investigation the Deputy located marijuana (0.1 oz) in the vehicle. The 25 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 2:24am and transported to jail.

On July 29, Deputy K. Albritton was notified of a disturbance in progress in the 11300 block of Gunwale Circle. The Deputy met with two male complainants, ages 66 and 17, who advised they had been assaulted by another male who was also on location. The older male had a deep cut on the lower back from being pushed into a glass table which broke on impact. The younger male had bruises on his chest and arm from being struck with a golf club. The 18 year old male suspect from Willis was arrested at 4:10pm, charged with assault-injury to the elderly and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and transported to jail.

On July 29, Deputy K. Underwood was sent to the 17000 block of Rogers Road in reference to a family violence assault call. The Deputy met with a female complainant who stated she and her husband had gotten into an argument. The male grabbed her by the throat and lifted her off the ground choking her. The 44 year old male from New Waverly was arrested at 11:15pm and transported to jail.

On July 30, Deputy A. Booher observed a male stumbling around in the parking lot in the 13700 block of W. FM 1097. The Deputy made contact with the male and found him to be intoxicated. The 62 year old male from Houston was arrested at 5:48pm and transported to jail.

A 20 year old male from Cleveland was arrested at 3:24am, August 1, in the 18500 block of Hwy 105 E by Deputy K. Berger for two Patton Village traffic warrants and possession of marijuana. The Deputy was investigating a suspicious vehicle parked along side of a building and found the male asleep inside the vehicle. The male was taken to jail.

On August 1, Deputy K. Albritton was sent to the 16200 block of Hwy 75 N in reference to a possible DWI driver. An off duty Conroe PD officer had observed the vehicle and followed it noting several times the vehicle almost hit other vehicles. The vehicle pulled into a bar parking lot and the male driver was detained by the off duty officer until the Deputy arrived. The Deputy observed the male to be intoxicated. The 63 year old male from Willis was arrested at 7:50pm for DWI 3rd or more and transported to jail.

District 2 – Lt. Brady Fitzgerald (South County)

On July 26, 2010 at approximately 7:30 pm, Deputy Fruge was dispatched to an Assault Family Violence call on Weeping Willow Way. The complainant stated that his 18 yr old son had punched holes in the Hardiplank on the outside of the house and the sheetrock inside the garage. When he attempted to stop his son from destroying the property, the complainant, was knocked to the ground where his son punched him repeatedly in the ribs before leaving. While gathering the information for the report, the suspect returned to the scene and was detained by Deputy Fruge. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On July 27, 2010 at approximately 1:30 am, Sergeant Hammons responded to a Criminal Trespass call at 305 Sawdust Road. Upon arrival, he met with the manager who stated that the suspect, White Male 22 yrs old from Spring, TX, was inside and that they had an active Criminal Trespass Warning filed against him. Sergeant Hammons went inside to speak with the suspect. When the suspect saw Sergeant Hammons, he turned and started to walk away. Sergeant Hammons then made contact with him and asked him to step outside. Once outside, Sergeant Hammons verified his identification and was informed, by dispatch, that there was a Warning on file for that suspect for that location. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On July 29, 2010 at approximately 6 pm, Deputy C.L. Roberts responded to 1025 Sawdust Road in reference to a 20 year old White Male Spring, TX resident and a 22 yr old White Male Spring, TX resident, being detained for shoplifting. The two suspects attempted to steal approximately $97.43 in merchandise from Wal-Mart. The younger suspect was charged with Class B Theft and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. The other suspect received a citation for Theft and was released at the scene.

District 3 – Lt. Darrel Conn (East County)

On 7/30/10 Cpl. Armstrong was dispatched to a possible intoxicated driver in the area of Hwy. 59 @ F.M. 1314. He arrived in the area and observed a GMC Jimmy travelling northbound on the service road of Hwy. 59. The vehicle was observed swerving and unable to maintain the lane of travel. The driver also failed to signal a lane change. A traffic stop was conducted and the Deputy had the driver step out of the vehicle. The driver showed numerous signs of intoxication and was given a series of field sobriety tests. The suspect, a 35 year old male was determined to be intoxicated and was arrested for DWI (Third or More), a third degree Felony.

On 8/1/10 Deputy T. Smith was on patrol in the 20000 block of FM 1485 and observed several individuals standing by a vehicle. The individuals were identified and one of them, a 23 year old male was found to have an active warrant for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. The suspect was then arrested without incident.

On 8/3/10 Deputy Lawless was dispatched to the 23000 block of 3rd St. in reference to a disturbance. Upon his arrival he found multiple people having a party and several intoxicated persons on location. He was informed that several individuals inside of the home had active warrants. Permission was given to enter the residence and he located one of the Juveniles that had an active warrant and he was arrested. Another individual in the home became uncooperative and belligerent while looking for the suspects. That suspect refused to follow commands and physically resisted when officers attempted to detain him. The suspect, a 17 year old male was arrested and charged with Resisting Arrest and Interference with Duties.

On 8/3/10 Deputy Curtis was dispatched to the 27000 block of Southland Dr. in reference to an assault family violence call. Upon his arrival he met with the victim and learned that the suspect had grabbed her in a bear hug and took her to the ground. The victim was also punched in the arm causing an injury. The suspect, a 21 year old male was arrested and charged with Assault Family Violence.

District 4 – Lt. David Park (West County)

On July 30th Deputy Birch was dispatched to Villages of Decker Oaks in reference to an Assault (Family Violence). Upon arrival the Deputy made contact with a female Complainant that said that when she had pulled into her driveway to get some property her husband pulled in behind her and struck the back of car with his truck. She tried to enter the house, but her husband blocked the way and eventually grabbed her and threw her down to the floor. He only released her when the police arrived. The husband was taken into custody and charged with Assault Family Violence and transported to the South County Jail.

On July 29th Deputy Herman was dispatched to the 16000 Block of N. Ravenswood in reference to a Family Violence. Upon arrival Deputy Herman made contact with a 32 year old male subject and the female Complainant. The Complainant advised that she and the male had been arguing and he hit her. The subject than pushed her causing her to fall down the stairs. The Complainant was transported to Tomball Hospital and the male subject was placed into custody for Assault Family Violence and transported to the South County Jail.

On July 29th Deputy Zavorski was dispatched to the Decker Hills Subdivision in reference to a Family Violence. The female complainant advised the male subject was intoxicated and she had refused to give him the keys to her car. The subject had gotten physically aggressive and pulled out his knife and threatened to cut her throat at which time she gave him the keys and ran for help. The female’s father went down to the residence to block the male subject from leaving with his vehicle. The male subject was taken into custody and charged with two felony counts of Aggravated Assault Family Violence and injury to the Elderly/Disabled. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On July 28th Deputy Herman was dispatched to the 29000 Block of Park Place in reference to a Family Violence. Upon arrival Deputy Herman met with a 46 male subject and the female Complainant. The Complainant stated the male subject broke her bedroom door from the hinges and was breaking and throwing things in the house. The male subject was placed into custody, charged with Felony Assault Family Violence and transported to South County Jail

On July 27th Deputy Tavarez and Sgt Russell were dispatched to the High Meadow Ranch Subdivision in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival the Deputies met with the female Complainant who advised that she and had been arguing with her husband and he had struck her. While on scene both the Complainant and subject began arguing again in front of the Deputies and had to be separated. The husband was arrested and charged with Assault Family Violence.

District 5 – Lt. Don Lacy (Northwest County)

On 07/29/10 Deputy Howze along with members of Montgomery County Adult Probation responded to the 9100 block of Deepwater in regards to a Warrant Service. The male subject in question was located and arrested on an outstanding warrant for Motion to Revoke Probation on an original charge of Possession of Marijuana. The subject was placed into the Montgomery County Jail on $2500 bond.

On 07/31/10 Deputy Rex conducted a Traffic Stop in the 14500 block of SH 105 W. Upon making contact with the male driver it was suspected that the driver may be alcohol impaired. After performing poorly on several standard field sobriety tests the driver was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Misdemeanor B, and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on $600 bond.

On 07/31/10 Deputy Garner responded to the 11600 block of Willow Run for report of an Assault. Investigation revealed that a male and female, husband & wife had been involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical when the female was physically assaulted by the male. Injuries sustained by the female were minor. The male subject was arrested for Assault (Family Violence), Misdemeanor C, and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on an undetermined bond.

On 08/01/10 Cpl. Peckne and Deputy McCarthy responded to a local establishment in the 15300 block of SH 105 W in regards to a Disturbance. Investigation revealed that a male subject on location had become intoxicated and was causing a disturbance with other business patrons. The male subject was arrested for Public Intoxication and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on an undetermined bond.

On 08/03/10 Deputy Durbin responded to the 19100 block of Lake Tree Dr in regards to a Disturbance in progress. Investigation revealed that several individuals were attending a party at a residence when one of the male guests became intoxicated and was causing problems with the other guests on location. The male in question was located wandering in the front yard and found to be highly intoxicated. The male subject was arrested for Public Intoxication and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on an undetermined bond.

District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Woodlands)

On July 27, 2010 at approximately 3:40 am, Deputy Underwood was dispatched to an indecent exposure call in the 3000 block of Woodlands Parkway. The information received was that a white male was walking naked near South Shore Park. Deputy Underwood attempted to make contact with the suspect who, upon seeing Deputy Underwood drive up started to run away. As Deputy Underwood exited his vehicle, Dispatch aired that the suspect was seen entering the water. The suspect was located near a pontoon boat, but as Deputy Underwood approached the water’s edge, the suspect would swim farther away. After crossing several fences to stay near the suspect, the suspect finally exited the water. Deputy Underwood ordered the suspect onto the ground several times and the suspect began to run towards him. Deputy Underwood deployed his Taser. Once in custody, the suspect was found to be extremely intoxicated and had difficulty answering questions regarding his name and date of birth. The suspect, White Male 17 yrs old from The Woodlands, was charged with Evading on Foot and received a citation for Indecent Exposure. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe.

On July 27, 2010 at approximately 7:30 pm, Lieutenant Fitzgerald responded to an Attempt to Locate that was later changed to a welfare check. The witness reported seeing a vehicle swerving on the roadway, then off into the trees and back onto the roadway. The vehicle then pulled into the shopping center at Kuykendahl and Research Forest. Lieutenant Fitzgerald was advised by the first deputies on scene, that the driver was a white female 19 yrs old from Tomball, TX, and that an open case of beer was in the vehicle. The suspect demonstrated slurred speech, poor coordination and seemed somewhat disoriented. When told she was under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated, the suspect actively resisted being handcuffed. After detaining the suspect, Deputy Evans conducted a search of her vehicle and found several small clear plastic baggies containing a smoking pipe and three half pieces of thin yellow pills, identified as Xanax. The suspect was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Resisting Arrest and Possession of Dangerous Drug, and was transported to Female Booking in the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe, TX without further incident.

The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive:

7/8 – Deputy Houstoun responded to 1201 Lake Woodlands in reference to a 49 year old white female Montgomery, TX resident being detained for shoplifting. The female attempted to steal approximately $450 in merchandise from Macy’s. The female was then transported to MCSO Jail in Conroe, TX.

7/23 – Deputy Drake and Deputy Rizk responded to 1201 Lake Woodlands in reference to a 44 year old white female Spring, TX resident and a 13 yr old White Male Spring, TX resident, being detained for shoplifting. The two suspects attempted to steal approximately $104 in merchandise from Macy’s. They also were found to have taken approximately $712 from Hollister’s. The female was then transported to MCSO Jail in Conroe, TX, and the male suspect was transported to the Juvenile Detention Facility in Conroe, TX

7/24 – Deputy Drake and Deputy Rizk responded to 1201 Lake Woodlands in reference to a 18 year old white female Willis, TX resident and a 15 yr old White Female Willis, TX resident, being detained for shoplifting. The two suspects attempted to steal approximately $187 in merchandise from Sears. The older suspect was then transported to MCSO Jail in Conroe, TX, and the younger suspect was transported to the Juvenile Detention Facility in Conroe, TX

7/26 – Deputy Weatherford responded to 1201 Lake Woodlands in reference to a 15 year old black female Austin, TX resident being detained for shoplifting. The female attempted to steal approximately $123.50 in merchandise from Macy’s. The female was then transported to Juvenile Detention Facility in Conroe, TX.

7/26 – Deputy Varnell responded to 1201 Lake Woodlands in reference to a 17 year old white female Hockley, TX resident being detained for shoplifting. The female attempted to steal approximately $60 dollars in merchandise from Sears. The female was then transported to MCSO Jail in Conroe, TX.

7/30 – Deputy Weatherford responded to 1201 Lake Woodlands in reference to a 35 year old white female Livingston, TX resident and a 16 yr old White Female Livingston, TX resident, being detained for shoplifting. The two suspects attempted to steal approximately $127 in merchandise from Macy’s. The older suspect was then transported to MCSO Jail in Conroe, TX, and the younger suspect received a citation for Theft and was released at the scene.

The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 3040 College Park Drive:

7/28 – Dep. Pternitis responded to a Shoplifter in Custody call at Wal-mart. Upon arrival, Dep. Pternitis located one of the suspects in the parking lot. After a brief chase, he was able to detain the suspect (Black Female 22 yrs old from Conroe, TX) and returned her to the store. The other suspect (Black Female 48 yrs old from Sacramento, CA) was also detained and returned to the store. Loss Prevention officers recovered 20 items valued at $424.42. Both suspects were charged with Theft. The younger suspect was also charged with Criminal Trespass and Evading on Foot. Both were transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
