On March 31, 2018, at 3:05 pm, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 132 Gill Road, Cleveland, Texas in reference to an animal cruelty call. When Deputies arrived on scene, they observed numerous male suspects on location around a metal arena next to the residence. Once the males observed Deputies, one of the male suspects fled into the woods. The remaining male suspects were detained.

During the investigation, 12 live roosters and 18 dead roosters were found on location.
