MONTGOMERY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE HAS A BUSY WEEK

On March 10, Deputy S. Degner was notified of an injury to a child call at a school in the 12000 block of FM 1485. The Deputy met with a teacher who related that a 6 year old female had made an outcry about being “beaten” by her mother. A 10 female, sister to the 6 year old, had suffered the same injury. Both children had welts from a belt used by their mother. The welts were on the children’s legs and backs. The mother was confronted by the Deputy and gave a written and oral confession about the injuries. The 29 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 6:58pm, charged with two counts of injury to a child and transported to jail.
A 39 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 8:25pm, March 10, at #1 Criminal Justice Blvd by Deputy S. Degner for a motion to revoke felony theft warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was outside the Criminal Justice Center when the female walked up and advised she had a warrant and wanted to turn herself in. She was placed in jail.
On March 11, Deputies C. Robertson and A. Cross were sent to the 14900 block of Pollux for a family violence call with an injury to a 74 year old female. The Deputies met with the female complainant who advised her daughter’s estranged husband had come over and tried to take the main circuit breaker from the breaker box on the side of the daughter’s house. The elderly female had attempted to stop the male when he pushed her away and into the breaker box causing injury to her arm. The 46 year old male from New Caney was arrested at 4:04pm, charged with injury to the elderly and transported to jail.
On March 12, Deputy K. Albritton was dispatched to the 15400 block of FM 1484 for an aggravated assault call. The Deputy met with a female complainant who advised a male, who was not supposed to be on her property, had come over to the residence. After being told he was not supposed to be there he pulled a pocket knife and advanced toward the complainant in a striking pose. The complainant and a witness stated the male had pushed the complainant down causing pain and injury to her leg. The male witness said the male then turned toward him as if to stab him. The witness grabbed a stick to defend himself. The 36 year old male suspect from Conroe was arrested at 7:09pm and transported to jail.
On March 13, Deputy S. Degner, working DWI STEP, stopped a male on a traffic violation in the area of Hwy 105 and Blake Road. The male was found to be intoxicated. The 25 year old male from Conroe was arrested for DWI at 2:40am and transported to jail.
On March 13, Deputy J. Hodges responded to the 11900 block of Hwy 105 East in reference to a welfare concern. Upon arrival the Deputy located a male who was passed out in a vehicle. Numerous attempts were made to wake the male. When he finally awoke it was observed by the Deputy that the male was intoxicated. The 27 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 8:03pm and transported to jail.
On March 13, Deputy K. Berger was sent to the 14500 block of Enchanted View Court in reference to a possible burglary in progress. A female complainant had received a call that someone broke into her house and she wanted it checked before she came home. The Deputy observed the side door to be kicked in and the house in disarray and appearing to be ransacked. The Deputy located a male curled up on a chair in the living room. The male was intoxicated and did not know where he was. After checking the male for wanted, the Deputy was advised the male had a DWI warrant out of Montgomery County and detained him. As far as the residence was concerned the male lived there and had an argument with his wife at a bar and was taken home and thereafter trashed the residence. The male was taken to jail on the warrant.
On March 13, Deputy S. Degner, working DWI STEP, stopped a female on a traffic violation in the 900 block of W. Montgomery. The female was found to be intoxicated. The 22 year old female from Willis was arrested at 11:48pm for DWI and transported to jail.
On March 14, Deputy A. Cross was notified of a family violence assault call in the 13200 block of Stowe Road. The Deputy met with a 17 year old female complainant who advised she and her mother had been arguing when the mother hit her on the face several times. The younger female attempted to get away but her mother chased her around the house finally catching her and striking her again on the face. The younger female was found to have a laceration under her eye and lip. The 42 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 3:11pm and transported to jail.
On March 14, Corporal P. Smith was on a disturbance call in the 10000 block of Dogwood Lane when a male from across the street came out into the street. The Deputy observed the male to be intoxicated. He told the Deputy he had not had a drink in ten years but today he drank a 12 pack of beer. The 51 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 5:50pm and was taken to jail.
3/11 – Black Female 13 yoa – was arrested for Criminal Mischief and Resisting Arrest. Deputies responded to a Healthcare Treatment Facility on S. Plum Creek Drive in reference to a Disturbance in Progress. During the course of the investigation a female juvenile was taken into custody due to damages caused during the disturbance and her continued aggressive behavior. The suspect resisted the officer’s attempts to take her into custody by twisting, pulling and kicking at the officers. After a brief struggle she was detained and transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Facility.
On March 14th at approximately 7:00 pm MCSO Deputy Williams was dispatched to Galleria Oaks subdivision in reference to a Family Violence in Progress. Upon arrival Deputy Williams met with the complainant who advised his brother had been drinking for most of the day and had began yelling and cursing at him and picked up a garden tool and reared back as if he was going to hit him. Deputy Williams arrested the brother for Aggravated Assault and transported him to the Montgomery County Jail. On March 13th at approximately 12:30 pm MCSO Deputy Birch was dispatched to an Assault Family Violence in the Decker Hills subdivision. Upon arrival Deputy Birch observed the complainant lying on the shoulder of the road across the street from her residence. She was injured with a possible broken nose. The complainant advised that not only did her boyfriend strike her, he also threatened her life. Deputy Birch placed the male subject in custody and charged him with Assault Family Violence and transported him to the Montgomery County Jail.
On March 12th at approximately 10:30 pm MCSO Deputy Zavorski was dispatched to the Hazy Hollow subdivision in reference to a family violence in progress. Upon arrival Deputy Zavorski met with the complainant who advised the suspect had become belligerent towards her and had struck her. After viewing the complainant’s injuries, the Deputy arrested the male subject and transported him to the Montgomery County Jail.
On March 10th at approximately 2:00 pm MCSO Corporal Sumrall was dispatched to the 30000 Block of Meadow Edge in reference to a Theft of Copper. A witness had observed a White Chevrolet Blazer parked at his neighbor’s residence and as he approached the residence, he saw two white males with a come-a-long attached to the end of the house pulling the service wire from the buried conduit. The witness called the police and provided a description of the two males, their vehicle and a license plate number. Corporal Sumrall observed the white Blazer along with the two white males who the deputy’s approach fled on foot. Both subjects were apprehended, arrested and charged with Theft of Copper and Evading. Both were transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
On March 8th at approximately 9:00 pm MCSO Deputy Zavorski was dispatched to the General Dollar located at the 21600 block of Meadowsweet in reference to a Robbery. Upon arrival Deputy Zavorski met with the complainant who advised that a white male and a white female had entered the store and the female was carrying a large blue bag that appeared to be empty. She kept an eye on the two as they shopped and viewed the female putting items into the bag. The female walked towards the exit and tried to leave without paying for her purchases. The complainant tried to stop the female from exiting the store, but when that failed she called 911 and reported the theft along with a description of the vehicle the two left in and the license plate number. MCSO Deputy Crandell was waiting at the suspect’s residence when they arrived. The blue bag was located in the vehicle with the stolen items inside of it. They were both arrested for Robbery and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
On March 9th at approximately 7:45 am MCSO Deputy Messina was dispatched to a Burglary on Sugar Bend in Magnolia. Upon arrival Deputy Messina met with the complainant who advised that one of his employees had burglarized the office after it had been locked down for the night. Video surveillance showed the employee going in the owner’s office twice. Only cash was taken from the office. The employee had reported to work that morning and Deputy Messina arrested him for Burglary of a Business and transported him to the Montgomery County Jail.
On March 9th at approximately 2:00 MCSO Corporal Sumrall was dispatched to the District 4 office in reference to a fraud call. Corporal Sumrall met with the complainant who advised he had received a notice from the Tomball Police Department advising him his bond had been revoked. After investigating this matter and calling several other counties, the complainant had discovered his identical twin brother had been using his ID. The complainant had several warrants out for crimes his twin had committed. This case has been turn over to the Detective Division for investigation.
On 03/10/10 Deputy Garlock responded to Grand Lake Estates Dr. in regards to the Theft of a Vehicle. The Complainant reported that sometime overnight someone stole their 2004 Truck as it sat parked in their driveway. The value of the vehicle is estimated to be in excess of $15,000. This case is under investigation by the Auto Theft Task Force.
On 03/10/10 Deputy Farmer responded to Cape Conroe Dr. in regards to a Disturbance. Investigation revealed where a male and female had been involved in a verbal disturbance. The male reportedly damaged several items that belonged to the female during the disturbance. The male was arrested for Criminal Mischief, Class A Misdemeanor and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on $750 bond.
On 03/12/10 Deputy R. Thompson responded to the 800 block of Spokane River for the report of a Theft. The elderly female Complainant reported that someone had stolen her push mower from along side of her home during the night. The mower was valued at over $260. This case is under investigation by the Patrol Division.
On 03/14/10 Deputy Favorat responded to a residence on Dean Rd. in regards to Burglary of a Habitation. The Complainant reported that sometime during the day when nobody was at home someone entered their residence and stole numerous items of jewelry, computer equipment and other electronics. The value of items stolen is estimated to be in excess of $1,850. This case is under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division.
On 03/14/10 Deputy Farmer responded to a local restaurant in the 14900 block of SH 105 West for the report of a Disturbance. Investigation revealed where a male customer was intoxicated and was causing a disturbance with other patrons. The male was arrested for Public Intoxication and placed into the Montgomery County Jail.
On 03/14/10 Deputy Durbin conducted a Traffic Stop in the 18000 block of SH 105 West. The female driver and having suspicion that alcohol was involved the driver was administered several standard field sobriety test. After performing poorly on the test the driver was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on $600 bond.
The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive:
3/5 – White Female 39 yrs old from Willis – The recovered merchandise (12 items) was
valued at $143.55. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
3/7 – White Male 14 yrs old from Spring – The recovered merchandise (2 items) was valued at $157. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile
Detention Facility.
3/9 – White Female 18 yrs old from Magnolia – The recovered merchandise (7 items) was valued at $66.98. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 3040 College Park Drive:
3/5 – White Male 41 yrs old from Houston. The recovered merchandise (3 items) was valued at $409.81. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail. A few hours later, the deputy was contacted by jail personnel notifying him that the name and date a birth the suspect gave at the time of arrest were false. Positive Identification was made through AFIS and FBI records. Additional charges were added for Failure to Identify.
3/7 – White Male 31 yrs old from Huntsville was arrested for Theft and Evading in a
Motor Vehicle. The recovered merchandise (7 items) was valued at $205.48. Loss Prevention officers attempted to stop the suspect, but he successfully evaded them and fled the parking lot on foot, where witnesses stated they saw him hiding in the woods. A short while later he returned to the parking lot and was able to get to his vehicle before
deputies could get to him. He exited the parking lot at a high rate of speed, squealing his tires. In the process of his leaving the parking lot, a mounted patrol deputy, near the exit, was thrown from her horse when the car spooked it. An attempt to locate was issued for the suspect and vehicle. The suspect was later detained by Walker County Sheriff’s Office and returned to Montgomery County were he was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
The following Narcotic arrest(s) were made:
3/7 – White Male 47 yrs old from Spring – was arrested after a traffic stop in the 1300 Block of Sawdust Road. During the traffic stop, Dep. Everton noticed that the suspect appeared extremely nervous. When asked if he had anything illegal in the vehicle the suspect stated “NO.” Constable Pct. 3 Deputy Eyring and his K9 partner responded to the scene where the K9 made a positive alert on the driver door of the vehicle. The suspect was found to be in possession of 16 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine, two digital scales, several empty clear plastic bags, a clear glass pipe and a used syringe. He
was taken into custody for Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
3/10 – White Male 26 yrs old from Conroe – was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance after officers responded to a location in the 3000 Block of College Park Drive where witnesses stated a possible drug transaction was occurring. Deputies Uber and Borchardt located the suspect vehicle and made contact with the driver and passenger. Constable Pct. 3 Deputy Sprague and his K9 partner responded to the scene where the K9 made a positive alert on the vehicle. During the course of their investigation Deputies found a small amount of marijuana, 3.5 pills, identified as Hydrocodone, and a small amount of methamphetamine. The passenger of the vehicle stated the drugs were his for personal use. He was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
3/13 – White Male 21 yrs old – war arrested for Possession of Marijuana after Dep. Ward responded to a call about a man living in the woods in the area of New Trails and Technology Forest. It was also reported that the person was dealing drugs in the area. Dep. Ward made contact with the suspect, who stated he had been living in the area for a couple of days since being kicked out of his parent’s home for smoking marijuana. During the course of the investigation, the suspect was found to be in possession of .10 ounces of marijuana. He was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
The following additional arrest(s) were made:
03/11/2010 Dep. Whitworth was dispatched to a construction site at 1 Waterway Avenue in reference to a Theft in Progress. Dep. Whitworth met with the Construction manager who stated that they have had several recent thefts of supplies from the location and that employees were watching for anyone that was not supposed to be on the site. An employee had placed some A/C Duct work items down and went to get the rest of his tools. When he returned the items were gone. The construction crew then started looking for the items, which were found in the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect (Hispanic Male 24 yrs old from Houston) stated he was visiting a friend, but did not know his name and he did not have a receipt for the items in his vehicle. The suspect was taken into custody for the theft and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
3/13 – 2 WM 19 yr old residents of Spring, were arrested in 4700 Block of W. Panther Creek, The Woodlands, for Possession of Marijuana (6.5 grams) and Possession of Controlled Substance (4 pills identified as Hydrocodone).
Warrant Arrest(s):
3/12 – WM 19 yrs old from the Woodlands, Village of Panther Creek, was placed into
custody for a Felony Warrant for Credit/Debit Card abuse.
3/13 – WM 57 yrs old from The Woodlands, Village of Grogan’s Mill, was placed into custody for a felony warrant stemming from a Theft charge.
3/13 – WM 19 yrs old from the Woodlands, Village of Panther Creek, was placed into custody for 3 outstanding felony warrants for Burglary of a Habitation. Suspect is also suspected of being involved in several other burglaries in the area. Bond was set at $75,000.
