MONTGOMERY COUNTY SIU HAS VERY PRODUCTIVE DAY

On Tuesday, The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit made arrests on three suspected drug traffickers in Montgomery and Harris County.

At approximately 2 pm Leslie Eugene Coats, age 29, of Cleveland, Texas was arrested after selling methamphetamine to The SIU. This occurred near Duck Creek Road and 105 East, Cleveland Texas. During the arrest a loaded semi auto pistol and approximately $4000 in US currency was seized from the suspect.
Additional charges are pending.

Money Laundering $10,000 bond

At approximately 4 pm John Jeffery Vandeman, age 32, of Palestine, Texas was arrested after selling the SIU 14. 1 grams of methamphetamine. The offense occurred near the intersection of I-45 and Sawdust road in a business parking lot. Vandeman, who was on parole also was also arrested for a TDCJ Blue warrant. Additional charges are pending.

At approximately 5:30 pm Kambiz Michael Duran was arrested after a search warrant was served on his residence located on Glenboro in Harris County Texas. Approximately 4 pounds of marijuana, $5200 in counterfeit US Currency , $8800 in US Currency, a money counter and two assault Rifles were seized during investigation.

These investigations are continuing. The SIU was assisted by the MCSO D-3
and D-2 Patrol Divisions, DEA HIDTA 31, and the Harris County SO Patrol.
