MONTHS IN THE WORKS-MONTGOMERY COUNTY PRECINCT 4 MADE IT HAPPEN

For months Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constables along with Commissioner Matt Gray have been working to determine who owned the concrete hut at Northpark and I-69 in the Circle K parking lot. It appeared to be an old traffic control signal building for TXDOT but that was a dead end. Finally after much digging they determined it was owned by the city of Houston. The hut had been not just an eyesore but a dope haven and homeless camp. inside they found not just clothing, paint cans, needles, and a variety of other items. Local businesses have been complaining and the theft in area businesses were partially attributed to it. On Thursday morning the City of Houston showed up with a full crew and slowly demolished it and cleaned the property up. The building had been extremely well built as the backhoe operator tried the rebar reenforced concrete hindered the quick work.
