More Details Emerge Regarding Former Local Officer’s Arrest for Possession of Child Porn

Montgomery County residents continue to express shock and dismay at a local resident and law enforcement officer’s arrest last week for possession of child pornography. Many questions have arisen regarding (now former) Officer Patrick Hosford’s brief career in law enforcement and the charges against him.

Only one Complaint was available through the District Clerk’s Office, initially. However, MCPR has now obtained copies of the Complaints for each of the 10 charges against Hosford. All are disturbing, and some are graphic and difficult to read. Below are images of each actual Complaint. Below the Complaints are the previous articles and documents posted.

As of late Saturday evening, Hosford remained in jail.

Precinct 3 Constable Ryan Gable’s Office released the following statement late Thursday afternoon regarding their felony arrest of (now terminated) Oak Ridge North Police Officer Patrick Hosford:

In November 2024, the Montgomery County Pct. 3 Constable’s Office received a CyberTip regarding James Patrick Hosford’s possession of child sexual assault material. An investigator from the Pct. 3 Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit conducted a thorough investigation. Evidence was uncovered indicating that Hosford possessed multiple videos depicting child sexual assault. Additionally, it was revealed that Hosford was employed as a Police Officer with the City of Oak Ridge North in South Montgomery County, Texas.

On January 8, 2025, detectives from Pct. 3 arrested Hosford near his residence in The Woodlands, Texas. A search warrant was executed at his home as part of the investigation. Hosford faces ten counts of Possession of Child Pornography, classified as a first-degree felony. He was subsequently taken to the Montgomery County Jail, where he is being held on a bond set at $500,000.

Constable Ryan Gable expressed gratitude to the Montgomery County District

Attorney’s Office, the Houston Police Department, and the Oak Ridge North Police Department for their support and collaboration throughout this investigation. Constable Gable’s team remains committed to identifying and apprehending individuals who exploit and harm children.

Hosford graduated from the Conroe Police Department Academy February 29, 2024 and began his career with the Conroe Police Department before winding up at Oak Ridge North Police Department, where he was terminated upon their learning of the charges against him.
